Hello all! I'm a Pooh-sized pooh: Disney fan and will be heading to WDW in Jan 08. I'm on Weight Watchers and trying to lose weight and when I go out to eat, I've found that ordering off the kids menu is a great way to keep my portions small. I'm wondering if I can do this at TS restaurants at WDW. I know I can order a CS kids meal because I've done it before and no one seems to care, but at a TS is it different? For example, we are going to Le Cellier, and they have a great kids meal where you even get the cheddar cheese soup which I would love to try. Has anyone done this at any of the TS resaurants? I will be going to Le Cellier and Coral Reef this trip. Thanks for your help!

Normally they charge adults double for the kids meals at TS and serve a larger portion. If you explain nicely to the server (and maybe convey that you'll be leaving an adult meal sized tip) they might help you out. I wouldn't count on it but would just be happy if they allow it. In many cases though the kids stuff is unseasoned and not the same quality--I ended up with some kids grilled chicken because of allergies. The kids steak at Le C just didn't look very good to me as well as compared to the regular steaks.

Most of the kids' choices at WDW are, as the pp said, not as good quality as the adult entrees. They also usually contain more fat, sodium, and carbs. Maybe ask if you can get a half portion of an adult entree? And make sure to tip as if you had gotten the higher priced full portion, if they charge you less. Most restaurants are very accomodating and will comply with special orders.

You can also ask to have sauces, gravies, dressings, etc, on the side or left off altogether. Many times they are the fat and calorie pitfalls on an otherwise healthy cut of meat or fish, salad, or side item.

Good luck- I'm sure you will be able to find some really good things to have that will not bust your diet. :thumbsup2
