Adults only for Mickey's Trick or Treat?

Is Mickey's Trick or Treat fun for adults only? It's my DH & myself(50ish)going the end of October, but not sure if this is worth the extra $$$. We've done MVMCP at WDW a couple of times, but never the Halloween event. This is probably our one and only time to DL(but never say never!).

It's for all ages. We enjoyed it with our children and thought it was worth it - we went last year. I have several adult friends that went with their sig others (no children) and enjoyed it but didn't think it was worth the $$. I'm sure others will chime in with more positive 'adult' experiences.

I took my dd a couple of years ago, and would be happy to go back with adults only. It was so much fun.

My wife and I are going alone this year, I asked before and had multiple people that it was tons of fun without kids!

My friend and I are about your age and went kidless last year. We had a ball and we're going again this year! I say go for it!

I am 47 and DD is 21...we are going alone on Oct 17th. I think it will be a blast!

I think going as adults only depends what you are going for. Are you going to trick or treat?? Then I would say it is not worth the money. Are you going for the entertainment and the short lines for rides?? Then I say definately go for it!!

I just want to caution you, don't count on short lines for the rides. My DH and I were there last year on Thursday, Oct 11th. It was packed! That whole week was crazy busy due to AZ fall breaks, and I guess everyone went to the party!

The lines for all the rides were just as long as a normal park day, and the ToT line was the longest I've ever seen it. They were using the que area that winds off to the side, instead of sending you right into the hotel!

So needless to say, we were dissapointed. Don't get me wrong, it was still really cool, but we have decided not to go this year, as we are once again going to be there with all the AZ fall breakers!

We are afraid we'll encounter long lines at the rides again, and we don't want to pay extra for that.

I read somewhere on another thread the the fall breaks for AZ are nthing to worry about for the weekend we're going to Mickey's TOT Party on the 10th. Correct me if I'm wrong

My husband and I are 40-somethings with no kids, and we have dressed in costume and gone every year and had a good time. I enjoy seeing the decorations and the entertainment, and also seeing the Disney characters in their Halloween costumes. The lines for attractions are...variable. Some things are walk-ons, but, as a previous poster mentioned, the line for ToT seems ridiculously long, considering how few people are in the park. Soarin' also has a pretty long wait, but if I remember correctly they were only running one side of it, which explains it. Things like Screamin', Monsters Inc, Mulholland Madness, etc. had little or no wait. I think it's not as good as the Mickey's Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, but it's not as expensive, either.

Should we be worried about the crowds? He mainly wants to go to ride Toy Story.

What do you think?

fall brake in AZ may make it a bit crouded but this summer usely dose to. its been the lowest in 5years so i bet oct will be to.

also they dont sell more the 5k or 10k tickets a day to the party. (41k is what this summer has been having a day.
think you will be fine just like we will be (oct 3erd) is gaydays and ive heard they can have 5k or so a day extra becosue them but idk.

We’re going that weekend too!!!!!. We went last year during Gay Days (not the Halloween party though) and it was crowded, but it was manageable. It wasn’t that much more crowded than a summer weekend. Nowhere as bad as Christmas or NYE week. If you get there early and take advantage of FP, you two should be fine.

My partner and I are in our mid-20s. We went two years ago with my Mom (50s), and last year we went to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at WDW.

We loved both parties, and we're going to Mickey's Trick or Treat this year again.

Get there early to get photos with characters with little or no waits! We also rode California Screamin' several times in a row with no wait.

The fireworks and parade at WDW's party are awesome, but the DCA party has it beat for low crowds in my experience. It's a perfect time to ride TOT, and to enjoy DCA after dark since the park tends to close early that time of year.
