Adults only resort theme-I like the idea of a royalty (English) theme myself. You could have perhaps an English castle as the main lobby and have castles and small English manors or "cottages" housing the guest quarters. The Presidential and Vice-Presidential Suites could be named after the Disney Kings . . . The bar/lounge could be the Foxhounds Pub and Grill-you could pull in The Fox and the Hound (Copper and Tod) theming!

Or perhaps base the resort theme on Newport's Mansions.

If they (esp. Eisner) thought they could make money, I wouldn't put it past them. Do you think Walt ever envisioned Pleasure Island? Or Disney doing anything but G rated movies? Never say never when money's involved. Sad but true. Now bring out the Mice Girls serving drinks.

I am the one who came up with the "oasis" theme but I like this idea also, you could also add a "haunted" mansion!, since rumor has it that many english castles are haunted! I love the Fox and hound lounge!

EltonJohn and Chyam you guys are onto something here! I love both of your ideas and seeing either one realized woud be awesome!

Now I just wonder if Disney had imagineers scope out this website every so often, and if they do are they all chuckling at our excitement when we lack the power to put these into effect! I think it's petition time!

I think they should just build another value resort, and turn POFQ and POR into adults only. Get rid of the playgrounds, expand the pool bar. The theming at these resorts is less whimsical and more adult already.

Whatever it is....agree WDW could use :"adults only" resort.

just think of how nice it would be to float in the pool without getting splashed.
No crying babies in the restaurants....

now that is heaven

mind you I have kids, love them to death, but like a peaceful dinner as well

WDW Market Research would have to do a ton of polling to determine if this would be profitable. They need to consider not only themeing, but price range that would maximize the number of repeat guests. (There will be some adults who only want a GF type experience, while others will only want to pay All Star range rates.) That being said, I think it could be a good move, especially with a theme that is still in the spirit of Disney but not kitschy.

I also think that "childless" bus transportation would be a major selling point. No more scraped shins from strollers, no more crying babies, no more kids fighting when cranky...
