i'm 30 years old, i have no children and i have no problem talking to and getting my picture made with any character i will come across at WDW. my question is would it be dumb for me to get autographs from them? i personally would be fine with it.....just wanted to get an idea of what the other adults do as far as autographs are concerned. is that mostly a "kid" thing?

I am 25 and love getting my picture taken with characters. I wouldn't think twice about getting their autographs. I have done it on occasion and would do it again.

I am 31 and got my autograph book filled in December. I found all the characters very playful and nice. I tend not to worry about what other people think. Disney is for everyone!!!

I agree about not worrying about what others may think. My DH and I love getting pictures with all the characters, and at times, we've even had looks and comments about being in line without kids. We don't mind. It's our vacation. I've seen adults getting autographs, too. I think it's great. Go for it!

Check the Theme park board for a poster named Meeko and then some numbers. Look for character threads. He is great with characters and getting pictures and autographs. With search non-functional, I can't search for him, you will need to do it page by page.

Oh I am 29 and traveling with some friends adn I am planning on getting autographs.

I'm 27 and I have gotten character autographs on my last 3 trips--one of them being my solo adventure at DL. I say go for it!!! I think those that go to Disney are young at heart and get into the spirit especially if they waiting in line for autographs.

Photos? Heck yeah!

Autographs (that are not real)? I don't get it.

But hey, if it makes you happy I say go for it. :yay:

I am 58 and I stood in line to get a picture with Belle and her autograph on our last trip.

I would not normally do such a thing, in deference to the small children in line, HOWEVER I am "The Reading Lady" and have taught kids how to read and love reading in our town for over 30 years and knew that my kids would love that picture!!:grouphug:

Walt wanted us all to be children at heart and at DW you can let the child roam free!:cheer2:

I'm a few months shy of being a senior citizen but you've all encouraged me to go for it! I've done photos with characters before - usually when I find them alone with no kiddies around. Next trip I'm taking an autograph book! I've never acted my age - so why start now? :lmao:

I love scrapbooking so you can bet I'll be dragging my boyfriend to get pictures/autographs with every character we can find!! (We're both 20 :))

I am thirty-something and my husband is forty-something. We had never met the characters before, but when we went last year for our ten year anniversary, I insisted we stand in the lines and meet the characters. We got lots of pictures, it was one of the highlights of the trip. I was going to get an autograph book, but decided it would be too much trouble to carry around, so I skipped it.

Our last day, we had lunch at The Garden Grill at Epcot. Our great server, Don, asked if we had an autograph book. I said no. He brought us a kiddie menu so the characters could sign it. Their signatures were sooo cute, and totally unique for each character. I hated that I didn't get autographs sooner.

Next trip, my first stop will be at one of the gift shops for an autograph book, and I will do my best to fill it up.

I've not gotten an autograph as an adult, but have no problem with anyone getting one. If they are willing to stand in line and get it, why not -- it is fun and is just in the spirit of the moment. It us fun to see the characters and get your pic with them. Afterall, Disney is for "kids of all ages"! Also, I am sure Disney trains the characters in all aspects including autographs as a few years ago our daughter got Tigger's autograph and it looked like aTigger signature -- with a little symbol that made it look springy like a Tigger!

I was 22 on our trip last May. I got autographs from every character I met. I felt like a dork, but didn't care. I love the scrapbook I made with the signatures and pictures of my sisters and I with each character. :)

ETA: I forgot to add I plan on getting signatures this June!:cool1:

Disney is for everyone, and I think nothing is off limits! I even do the pressed pennies.....brought rolls of pennies and quarters, and even bought a pressed penny book. It was so fun searching around for the pressed penny machines!

I have gotten photographs with the characters, but haven't done the autograph thing...yet. Maybe I will on my next trip.

they even sell autograph books that have room for the pictures.I say go for it

Where is this available? I am taking a friend who has never been before, and will likely never be able to go again, so I want her to have something like this as a souvenir.

My husband is 60 and has picked up where my son left off as far as getting autographs. (L) It's a challange for him to get as many autographs as he can. Of course we always let the little ones go first. As for me, I enjoy taking pictures with the characters. Isn't that what WDW is all about?
