Adults birthday in the park

My wife will celebrate a birthday while we are at Disney World this summer and I was wondering if there is anything, other than being there that could make the day special. We are having dinner at Chef Mickey's and will end the day at the Magic Kingdom. Does Disney do anything for adult birthdays?

My DH celebrated his birthday there last year. We made him wear the birthday button all day. We also had dinner at Chef Mickey's, were he got a cupcake with a candle in it. Goofy brought it out and then he made my DH walk around like he was limping on a cake, since he was sooooo old...lol. It was his 34th birthday! The kids loved that!

I had my birthday there last year and I will say that for me, they did loads. I don't think I went to many table service meals during the week that they didn't at least wish me a happy birthday. (And I didn't always wear the button. It had been added to my reservations, all of them it seems.)

I received cards, cupcakes, and wine at various locations. I didn't expect anything, and I know that it can be hit or miss.

I ordered a specialty cake for my birthday (additional cost) though, and that is something you could do to make it extra special for her.

OK thanks. We will both celebrate our b-days there this year. I was thinking about having a specialty cake sent to us at dinner as well. Thanks for the info....come on July

I spent my 40th birthday with Mickey last month. I wore my birthday button every day and was wished a happy birthday by dozens of cast members and even other guests. It was fun! I got several desserts and the staff of Via Napoli (where we celebrated on my actual birthday) sang Happy Birthday to me in Italian. We went to the Disney Visa meet-n-greet on my birthday and Minnie made a big fuss over me. It was a lot of fun, even for a grown-up.

If you want to surprise her, get her a mini cake. If you are having dinner at the contemporary you can just them up and order a mini- cake. Take a look at the OFFICIAL CAKE CHATTER thread, they will give you all of the info on who to call at the Contemporary, and they provide you with the phone numbers/email addresses. The thread has a-lot of info period. But you could pick the type of cake and what you want the decorations to be etc. It seems that the rule of thumb is that they are between $25-$50 depending on how elaborate the decorations are and as for size think of big cupcake with a small cupcake on top She will be blown away! I celebrated my 30th birthday there. I got a cupcake at a couple of meals. I wore the birthday button so lots of Happy Birthdays. We went to tea for lunch at the GF, and they gave me an extra dessert. DH also ordered a cake.
