I just called Fairygodmothers to find out their rates to sit with my Mom while I go out for a while. I was really suprised....I didn't think it would be that expensive. I was told that the fee for child sitting is $12/hr, but they would charge $15/hr for this. In addition, there are their transportation expenses of $12 (I can't remember if that is each way..so possibly $24).
This makes this option really unfeasible, as 3 hours would be either $57 or $69 depending n that transportation expense.
Does anyone know of any other services that may be a little more reasonable? This just seems awfully expensive to me. I guess I was expecting more in the $10 range.
