As you said, its impossible to guess. I'm in NY but the things we are doing here are irrelevant to what they will do in Hawaii, and then what Disney/Aulani will do in addition to that. From what we have seen, Hawaii tends to be very conservative in their approach to re-opening and safety. Being an island, they want to keep things contained as much as possible and they've been doing a good job of that. This has resulted in more stringent testing requirements, limited re-opening, etc. Disney has also erred on the side of caution when it comes to protocols. I would *hope* that by the end of 2022, covid protocols have been put to bed and we're all fully in our "new normal" way of living with borders open and social distancing no longer in effect, but that's only my hope.Thank you both. I imagine a guesstimate of when ‘capacity is no longer limited and social distancing is a thing of the past’ is a difficult call. Where I am we are in lockdown so it seems near impossible, however have some hope when seeing other parts of North America plan their reopening! So if you feel, given where you are and your perspective, you can throw out a timeframe, that would be great!![]()
Maybe when more kids activities like Auntie’s are available it will go back to adults only?
I really like this tier system....transparent, predictable, love itMy guess would be when Oahu hits tier 4. They've been in tier 3 for a while now: https://www.oneoahu.org/reopening-strategy#:~:text=Reopening Strategy (Honolulu's Tier System),-The City and&text=There are four tiers, Tier,a minimum of four weeks.
Yes one would think notI think the adult pool will be back when the spa is open, it is next to the outdoor spa right? So screaming kids at the spa is not ideal

the spa at the Four Seasons is open if Aulani’s is not when you arrive.I keep checking every day whether or not there is any news on the spa... We leave for aulani in a month. Maybe once they get to tier 4 they will open back up?
Isn't every hot tub supposed to be adults only? Like on Earth? I know nobody cares, but it's unsafe for kids.Just got back from trip.
Spa is open. Adult pool is not back yet.
I asked a bunch of CMs ( and complained a little ) if the adult pool was coming back. Most thought it was at some point but didn't know when.
Most of the time there weren't many screaming kids there anyway. There is more appealing action elsewhere. Early and Late tended to have less kids as well... A few times I'd see a family bring their screaming brats back there... I think to get away from other screaming brats...
They need to bring it back... Lots of people complained... Esp in the adult only hot tub. If they got rid of the adult only hot tub, I think the pitch forks would ( and should ) come out.
