I like to eat small meals and snack my way through the day, is it ok if I order off the children's menu.

Thanks

I always order kids meals for myself at CS restaurants. For TS I split a meal with my son. Either way, I've never had a problem. It's more than enough food and nobody has ever given me grief about it.

I'm not sure if it's officially OK but we have done it many times for my elderly mother. I would ask the server if my mom could order off the children's menu and offer to pay an adult price for the meal. She was never refused and I don't ever remember being charged full price at Disney or at local restaurants. However, we were a party of six with at least two adult meals being ordered as well. I'm not sure how it would work if you were only ordering a kids meal.

By the way, I wonder if restaurants would do better if they offered "smaller portion" meals to anyone who wanted to order it. I know our local Bugaboo Creek and Fridays now offer mini deserts for about 1.99. Before, I'd rarely order desert. Now, I'm more apt to order as they are just the right size and price!

I can't see it being a problem at CS, but I was told, "absolutely not" when I asked to order a child's meal at Beaches n Cream.

We were at ESPN Club during Lent and it was Friday, so no meat. They didn't have anything on the regular menu so we ordered grilled cheese sandwiches off the kids' menu. No problem, I even got a cupcake. :cloud9:

We had a party of 13 at Raglan Road (only 1 child) and my elderly grandparents wanted to order off of the children's menu.

The server let them order it but told them that in the future, children's menus were reserved for children under a certain age.

DH and I often did this at CS. He'd order an adult meal, I'd order a kids' meal, and we'd share our plates. Often, the kids' choices looked better than the adults' to me. I am also a snack-through-the-day person, so I was rarely hungry for a big meal. Disney charges a lot for food, but they do give you a lot too!

If I'm up at the counter ordering a kids' meal and an adult meal, the CM has no idea who I'm ordering for. I could have a whole table of kids sitting outside or one hungry DH! No one's ever said anything. TS might be different because they see your whole party.

I'm going to move this over to our restaurant board in case the folks over there have additional input.
