Adult Only vs. Regular Adventure..?

Just returned from our Adult Only Spain ABD! WOW! It was tremendous! I must admit, although I do love children, we are past that age & it was nice to be amongst adults. We still had young people - 2 19 year olds, 3 in their early 20's, a honeymoon couple, and a younger couple with small children at home, but the rest of us were middle age. It was a very nice mix. I will definitely be looking for Adult Only ABD's for our future trips if we can. Italy is next!!

Italy is Fantastico! I hope you get Dusty Atha and Marco Bonnani as your Guides....Aquamarine Steph and I were on the same trip in May 2013 and it was perfect! Just think...12 Members of your "Family" + 2 ABD Guides + 1 Local Guide (Cristina) + 2 Guards in the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museum...Glorious!

When you go, tell Cristina we say "Ciao!" She knows LOTS about Roma! To be a Guide in Roma, you have to have 4 years of training. She told us more in 2 days, than would fit in 10 History Books! Absolutely Fabulous!

Viva Italia will probably always be my favorite, partially because it was our first!

We are set to go to Spain with another couple we met on that trip.

I still talk about how wonderful that trip was. Cristina was SO AMAZING. I had tears in my eyes when she was describing the history of the Pieta in St. Peter's. The Sistine Chapel was indescribable. And to this day, whenever I am traveling anywhere, I have a moment when I wish for Marco B & Dusty to make an appearance! ;-)

Italy was fantastico, and ABD does it beautifully!

Yup, just got back - having only 12 people was amazing! Our guides were telling us that the ext departure has 41 for the same trip.

Yikes - 41? wow, I think I prefer 12 like you had, but I know they do a great job. If I call they will tell me how many are signed up for my adventure?

Agree. We had Dusty and Marco B as our guides on Viva Italia a couple of years ago and they made a really good team!

Glad to hear you loved Spain! It's on my list of maybe trips, and I'd love to hear more about your experiences there.

Having said that, you will LOVE Italy with ABD.

No, sorry...she's German....does Germany.... Central Europe and the Danube Cruises....

But..all the ABD Guides are great! They go through lots of stuff to get there!

So far we've gotten to know Dusty, Marco B, Steph and Natalia!!!
To be a little Back on Topic...both trips were Adults Only and we highly recommend them for people that are "past" children age....or people that weren't blessed with children in the first place!
