We will be travelling to Disney in January, but only have 3 1/2 days once you take travelling time off. We are Adults travelling with no kids and I've never seen any of WDW while my SO has.

I've read the threads regarding time needed at each Park, but all of those had children with them. Will the time needed and parks to really see change being we are both adults??

What is definitely a Must See and what can wait?? How long needed at each please.

Thanks!

H There! First of all you will never have enough time to see everything!! But my Husband and I do Disney in short three day trips so we can leave the kids home. ( I know there is something wrong with that huh!!)

But I would say that Animal Kingdom and even MGM are half day parks. So if you are able to get hoppers I really suggest it! I think there is a three day hopper on ticketmania, maybe someone else knows where.

I would do Animal Kingdom in the am and if you can hit an early entry day that would be even better. GO straight back for the safari as the animals are a little better in the am vs pm especially if it is hot. YOu can definitely get AK done in half day. Just make sure you see the LION KIng and Bugs life at that park and the Dinasaour ride is great for adults!

We would then have lunch and head over to MGM. I think MGM has great shows and you really should catch Fantasmic if you can at night. I don't however think MGM has the best restraunts but pick one where you can get into Fantasmic and enjoy the show. Make sure you do Indiana Jone, Rocking Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and Back to the Future.

As for Magic Kindgom do everything and plan a whole day!
Same for Epcot and make sure you plan a dinner there. I strongly recommend Le Celier in France if you are Steak lovers!! You won't be dissappointed. Make sure you do test track (if it isn't broken!)

Hope this helps, just my thoughts!!

Have a magical trip!

Cmbar's tips sound good for an adult trip. I agree that I'd give Magic Kingdom and Epcot each a full day.

One thing to know, though, Le Cellier is in Canada. Excellent steaks! My other favorite dinner spot at Epcot is Marrakesh (in Morocco.)

Lucky you alone in Disney!!!! I am trying to convince my husband to take me there for my Birthday without kids!!! (my kids won't miss out though we are going in Feb) Cmbar's advice sounds good to me too!!

Have fun!!!! :wave2:

If you don't mind getting up early, I'd recommend going to the Early Entry park for the early entry(if you're staying in a Disney resort). That gives you a jump on the crowds and it's especially helpful at the Magic Kingdom. I spend the extra hour at MK usually in Fantasyland because this part of the park becomes very crowded.

I do that all the time!! I know Le Celier is in Canada!! Regardless of where it is it it Yummy!!!

KathyTx how many points for a piece of that steak:eek: Definitely worth saving up points for a meal like that!!

Meals at Le Cellier are all 0 points. That's just part of the Disney Magic!

:p

It really depends on how commando you want to be. Using Fastpasses strategically and doing a small amount of running around you can see the magic kingdom in one full day-seriously-stay for spectromagic and the fireworks if they are both being held. I would consider MGM to be at least a full day park there are a lot of shows and rides which can take some time. Animal Kingdom can be done in half a day, we left at about three the day we went and had seen nearly everything, there were only a few small things we didn't see. You could go to Epcot the night of the day you go to Animal kingdom and check out the world showcase and watch illuminations. Future world doesn't take too long if you get fastpasses for mission space and test track. If time is of the essence and there are lines of any sort, never go on a fastpass attraction without a fastpass! We waited for tower of terror at MGM for two hours because we got to the park late and going another day wasn't an option because it was closing for refurbishment the next day. On your last day you could finish up at future world at epcot or go to MK or MGM to check out what you may have missed.

Get there first thing-EMH if possible. Start out in tomorrowland, grab a fastpass for buzz lightyear on your way to space mountain, the return time should be short. Ride space mountain, ride astro orbiter, if you have time before the buzz lightyear window closes go grab a fastpass in fantasyland-winnie the pooh is the closest-ride buzz lightyear. Then go to fantasyland and go on non fastpass rides until your fastpass window opens. When it opens go get a fastpass for peterpans flight and then go on winnie the pooh. Depending on when your peter pan fastpass window opens you can ride more rides in fantasyland (small world, snow white). You don't necessarily need a fastpass for philharmagic, if you get into the theater you will see the next showing. When your fastpass window opens for peter pan, go to the haunted mansion and get one there, then come back and ride peter pan. While you are waiting for the haunted mansion window to open you can check out country bears, hall of presidents, riverboat, etc.. When the haunted mansion pass window opens get a pass for the jungle cruise in adventureland or big thunder or splash mountain. You should get the picture by now. We went on virtually every ride in the park and ended up leaving that day by 7pm, we could have stayed for the fireworks but we had other days planned to come back. Good luck with whatever you choose and have fun!!

If you are there without kids, you will save a lot of time by not having to stop at the bathroom as much! Hopefully, you'll also get through the gift shops more quickly, without having to explain why you can't buy them everything they want.

Otherwise, it will take the same amount of time, assuming you like to ride most or all of the rides. If you are a more sedate kind of person and don't enjoy thrill rides, you will move a lot faster through all of the parks. However, be sure you take time to visit all the countries in Epcot's World Showcase! They are wonderful and are hard to do with kids along - kids aren't as interested in what the countries have to offer!

Thank you to everyone here! Y'all have made my planning alot easier, especially since I'm totally clueless :p

I can't wait to be a big kid again!!!

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is going over to Pleasure Island one evening. I would recommend doing that and Downtown Disney that first half day there. If you are not sure if you would like Pleasure Island, they have been running "free previews" from 7pm till 9pm daily. I would use the time to catch the first show at the comedy warehouse then go to the adventurers club for their second show in the library(My two favorite clubs). If you like it you could then buy a ticket for the rest of the evening(about $20) . If you really like it for 5 extra dollars you can get 5 extra evenings on your ticket. With the shorter park hours, I went to PI several evenings after the parks closed. If you are staying on site, just take the bus, boat, or monorail to the closest resort then take the bus over to the PI.
