We will be going to DW in January along with my parents. My parents have offered to watch our boys so that we can go out alone one evening. I'm thinking I'd like to go to Epcot and see Illuminations after dinner.

So, where would you suggest we eat? We've only been to DW once before and have never eaten at any TS restaurant at Epcot. I'm looking for somewhere that has good food and good service, but not really picky about the rest.

Thanks!

What's your budget? How much "romance" do you want.

If I had this opportunity, I'd book Flying Fish over at the Boardwalk - much more adult food and probably fewer kids - and its a fairly short stroll over to Epcot. So you can dine at Flying Fish, then walk to the park for Illuminations. But I really like FF - and it isn't a restaurant I'm comfortable bringing little kids into (my kids go - they are elementary school aged - but having to box up a good steak or peice of fish for a misbehaving preschooler or a toddler in meltdown isn't something I'm willing to risk).

Le Cellier is awesome for ADR's are tough to get! Also, I'd recommend Coral Reef! Third choice for you would be Chef De France. Epcot is a wonderful place to dine!

Enjoy!

Thanks! Not really looking for a romantic place necessarily. Just looking for a good experience.

After reading through old threads and such, I think I've decided on Le Cellier. I was able to get a 6:20 ADR for the evening we want.

I'd still love to hear other suggestions!

If you aren't that interested in the romantic aspect, you might want to think about the Biergarden in Germany. That would depend on what kind of food you like. I wasn't too thrilled with looking at the buffet menu but once I got there, I had more than enough food. The atmosphere is like a German drinking hall with a band and ddancing if you want. Since it would be just the two of you, you would be seated with up to six other people at a table but I find that just adds to the experience since you get to meet other people. And then after dinner, Germany is a wonderful place to watch Illuminations.

We loved Chefs de France and Bistro de Paris. I also agreed with the post about the German Biergarten, it's really a fun time but maybe it would be a great place to take your kids, mine (2 and 4) loved it!

We've had several wonderful meals at Bistro. A couple of them we actually were able to watch IllumiNations out the window while having dessert. :thumbsup2

For the best place IN Epcot, I'd recommend Bistro de Paris. If you're willing to go outside (but nearby) then either Flying Fish or Yachtsman. You can still go back into Epcot afterward to catch Illuminations.

Le Cellier, if staying in Epcot

but IMHO, I would rather go to Yachtsman for a special dinner, the place is awesome :thumbsup2

Another vote for Bistro de Paris. I would not go to LeCellier for an adults only experience. Too loud, too many kids. Bistro does not have a children's menu, so you don't get too many there. It's quiet and the food is wonderful.

I think you will love Le Cellier. It has a great atmosphere (the cellar) as it is dimly lit and down under the bottom of the beautiful buildings in Canada. It almost has the feel of a medieval dungeon to me.

The food is the real reason to go. The entrees are all good...especially the steaks. Everyone loves the pretzel bread and cheese soup. And the desserts ...creme brulee, chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, smores... are so delicious. We love it. :thumbsup2
