Hi!

Any inside tips you can give us would be greatly appreciated. My hubby and I and our adult son (physically disabled and in a chair) will be going on the 4 night Bahamas cruise this year.

Our son is very strong and able to push his chair, but I am wondering about a few things;
are the sand chairs for adults or just children and where do you get them?
does the ship dock right at the main port in Nassau or do you take a tender?
does the ship dock at CC or do you tender to the shore?

Thanks much!

There are no tenders at Nassau or Castaway Cay. Nassau is difficult to get around but it's doable, and more stores in the straw market/downtown area have put in ramps. You should be able to arrange an accessible vehicle to get to Atlantis if you wanted to visit there. The sand wheelchairs are adult size. There are nice sidewalks throughout Castaway Cay so when not on the beach, it's easy to get around in a w/c and there are areas with shade as well. The beach barbecue area is fully accessible...and the trams also can accomodate a w/c if needed. Hope you have a great cruise!---Kathy
