Although we have our 10th trip to Disney coming up, I have never paid much attention to what alcoholic drinks are served at Character Buffets or quick service meals because they were extras on the DDP. We will be eating at Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, Akershus, Tusker House, and Hollywood and Vine. Yep, all the grandkids are going! Also probably Satu'li, Cosmic Rays or Pecos Bills, Farifax Fare or Backlot Express. My DH likes a good beer, but I prefer a nice cocktail or glass of red. Do Character meals and quick service places even have cocktails and wine now? Are they on par with the ones served at World Showcase or nicer restaurants on property? With the grands, whom we love dearly, we may still need a little boost!

Not sure about Satuli but my guess would be yes. Magic Kingdom QS won’t have alcohol, though. Not sure about CP (I’m leaning towards no bc we ate there in Feb).
I had drinks at Akershus and Tusker House. Both of them were cocktails, but pretty sure they have beer too. If you go on the app their menus will show all the drink options.
I personally wanted to make best use of my credits, so I made sure the table service restaurants I picked served alcohol. The only one I went to that didn’t (at the time) was CP.

I just checked and GG has mimosas and bloody Mary’s for breakfast and all the regular options for lunch/dinner.
And it looks like CP added beer/wine for lunch/dinner.

When you have time, go peruse these two threads. They will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Also op, I know you didn’t ask for advice on this, and I haven’t been to H&V—but it gets pretty consistent poor reviews on here. I’d check those out and also take a look at SciFi while you’re at it because it’s aweome :)

I can at least tell you that all the MK ones you have listed do not presently serve alcohol.
Thanks! I forgot all about the no alcohol long standing policy in MK-thought with BOG and Skippers Canteen now serving alcohol, perhaps CP would as well, but I imagine it will be a long time coming or never at quick services.

I totally agree, but with young grandchildren Sci Fi may be too intense for them. The perk of Fantasmic reserved seats without a fast pass and the regulars in Halloween attire are the only reason we are doing Hollywood and Vine!

Nice! Thanks for pointing that out. I knew it was in their long term plans, but missed that recent news update. Good news for the OP.
