I have:surfweb: been asked to help plan a quick Dec. trip for 2 adults(50's) from a Wed. to Sat. The Candellight procession and Cirque are must do's.

They would like other ideas to fill up their days. I am only used to planning in Aug. for my family. Thanks alot!

She asked me for a top ten list. They are in good health and it is a surprise for her husband.

Totally agree with DVC California and seeing the decorations at the resorts is a high priority for us. I would also add playing mini-golf at Winterland and buying a gingerbread plank from the gingerbread house at the G-Flo.

Osborne Lights absolutely.

Did Very Merry Christmas Party - thought it was nice, but probably won't do it again.

Saw ICE! not long ago. Again, neat concept, but ABSOLUTELY would not spend that kind of money to do again.

Agree with decorations at the resorts -- always a favorite of mine to do.

Holiday WISHES.

I've never seen EPCOT or AK fully decorated -- need to do that this year.

Pamela,

For sure they would want to see, Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party if they haven't seen them. The biggest problem is finding the time to do everything. ;)

Also agree that the resorts are FANTASTIC when decorated for Christmas. :santa:

Saw you sig, about the family vacation in 2007. I left my first job and went in business for myself in 85 and it wasn't till 2000 that we actually took off for more than say a long weekend. The DD had been down for a weekend, but DS had never seen WDW. We stayed for 15 days, 6@WL, 3@DL and 6@BW that year. :woohoo: With the AP's we bought then we came back in 2001 for 13 more days at BC & BW. :wizard: Haven't been able to do one that long since.:confused3

Trying to put together a week in Sept for DW and myself for our 35th anniversary. Hard to make it a surprise when I have to get her to take the time from work!!! :cool2: At least for now she doesn't know..... not until I absolutly MUST tell her (which will be long after it's all planned, down to breakfast, lunch and dinner).

All of the above. Not sure where you are staying but we like to stay at Boardwalk and always go at least one night to Jellyrolls!! It is a dueling piano bar which is so much fun. The music is nonstop from around 8:30 as there are always 2 sets of piano players so when the first two take a break 2 more come out and they do that the whole night. Great fun and a can't miss for DH and myself (and friends when they come with us).

DH and I are going "solo" for the first time and I'd like to surprise him with a tour in one of the parks. We've done KTTK, Segway in EPCOT with the kids and very much enjoyed them. What is there for adults in AK?:surfweb:

Also, if they are golfers, the Disney courses are great and I do believe the courses will be at their lowest rates that time of year.

As a couple in our 50's this is our top December list;
Cirque
Candlelight procession-( MVMCP-not so much)
Christmas decorations during resort hopping-( which also makes it nice to plan a return trip.) A nice Dinner in one of the resorts.
Downtown Disney if they are shoppers.

I would also be sure that they visit Epcot at some point, maybe dinner at Le Cellier or what ever type of food choice they might enjoy.

Our top ten attractions are; (in Park order)
MK-
Splash Mountain-(but some don't like it in cooler months)
Haunted Mansion
Pirates
Carousel of Progress

EP-
Soaring
Ellen's Energy Adventure
Test track (my mom's favorite and she is in her 70's)

HS-
Back lot
Toy Story
All of the shows including Muppet's ( I had to get it down to ten-lol)

Ak
Safari and just relaxing in the shade somewhere!

Don't for get to allow for some down time! Even a perfect trip pales if you are too tired.

On thing about Disney, you never have a problem filling up a day. :wizard:
