FYI, for those of you who were asking about adult halloween costumes, I went to the park yesterday and was told that DL and DCA do not carry adult costumes. The parks only carry children's and infants costumes now. I also checked World of Disney and was told the same thing. I was looking for a costume for a company party too. :(

I was told that adult costumes can be purchased at www.disneydirect.com and that the quality is the same as it would be in the parks. Apparently the adult costumes did not generate enough sales last year so they stopped carrying them.

I just got my Pooh costume (actually it came while we were at Disney but my neighbors were nice enough to told my packages while we were gone even though I did a hold mail). I am just shy of 5 feet and about 120lbs, I got a small...it fits although the legs are too long for me but then most capris fit like regular pants for me so no surprise there. My DH got Tigger, he is 5' 10" and about 180lbs. He got a large and says that it is slightly snug around his butt but I couldn't tell. I am sure that there are some deals going on right now for costumes on disney direct, might be worth looking into if you need one. Quality wise I was quite impressed. I got DD costume last year from another mail order company (not a disney one just a bumble bee one). The quality of that costume was ridiculous. I don't know what the quality was like for costumes they used to carry in Disneyland but I like the quality of our costumes, they look very good to me!!

Do adults ever wear costumes in DL? My older daughters told my granddaughter they would wear princess costumes with her to goofy's kitchen. I heard that they don't like the adults to wear costumes thought. Is that right?

While I wouldn't call them costumes, there's usually groups of identically dressed people at DLR everyday. Families and tour groups plus the MousePlanet meet groups all seem to be following a similar dress code. I think the issue might be add confusion to little ones over official vs ad lib characters. An ad lib character acting poorly would be a big time no-no. :badpc:

Wow, I go to DL all the time and rarely notice all that many people dressed alike, other than school or tour groups. I am an active part of MousePlanet and the only time we 'dress alike' is at the Mouse Adventure compeition held twice a year.

I have never seen an adult wearing a costume. I take that back, on July 17th there were a couple of people dressed like they were from the 50s.

I a little curious about what 'costumes' might be seen this weekend (Gay Days)

I can see what you mean about other guests (especially children!) getting confused over who is an "official" character! Last December at WDW, DD3 was dressed as Cinderella and we were walking towards the castle to go for breakfast. A little girl of about the same age started yelling "Quick mommy, get the camera - it's little Cinderella!" She was jumping up and down and getting very excited - it was just too cute! :rotfl2:
