adult/child credit for dinning??????

Ok I have a question. My DD 10 hs to pay the adult price therefore can eat off of the adults menu. This will not normally be a problem as she will eat a variety of items. My question is if we goto a resturant and she can not find anything off the adult menu can she still use her credit for a child meal? I do not want to pay out of pocket and sve her credit, I am not trying to beat the system. I just want to be able to ude her credit (adult) for a child meal if she wants. Can we do this????

Certainly! Think about it- you have prepaid the adult price for the DP- if your DD wants a childrens meal, Disney makes even more $$. They will GLADLY let you use adult TS credits on childrens items. Now, that being said, you might, at a couple of places, get a larger "adult sized" portion of the kids meal, but that's the only difference. The Disney CMs and chefs won't make your DD eat something she doesn't like off the adult menu.

As long as you are paying the $38.00/day for her, you may as well pay out of pocket for her if for a meal or two she only wants chicken nuggets. Not paying out of pocket in such a situation doesn't make any sense. While there are logical arguments against paying out of pocket for a child and using credits for an adult, as long as you paid full price for DD10, you should use your credits as you see fit. For example, the plan only pays for two meals a day (and less if you do signature dining or a dinner show). Does that mean it is "wrong" if you plan on eating a breakfast buffet and at chef's de france at night and use your TS credits for the day at chef's instead of the less expensive breakfast? Of course not.

disney expects that "adults" (such as your dd10) will pay out of pocket for the less expensive TS meals and use the credits for the more expensive ones.
