Do adults ever get the birthday badges? My sister and I will be at WDW in February on her birthday. We're not sure which park we will be going to on her birthday. Do all the parks have birthday badges? I just wondered if this is for kids only, or for kids of ALL ages. :)

I was able to get one for mine back in 2001 (I spent my solo b-day in the MK, probably the best b-day gift ever to myself) and in 2004 we were there for Mom's and she got one from Epcot, we had entered thru the back gates by the Beach Club that day and I think she got it from the guy working the turnstile but can't be 100% sure who had given it to her since I wasn't paying attention, too busy putting my bag back together ;) LOL

I know of quite a few adults who have had the pleasure of celebrating their b-days at Disney. So go for it and I hope your sister has a very happy magical birthday :)

There are no adults WDW. As soon as you pass under the Welcome sign you become a little kid again.. :rotfl:

Anyone can get and wear a birthday pin. Go to guest services at any park or at DTD and have lots of fun.

We get them each year we go on our birthdays. There is no age limit to them. We saw a very senior adult riding around with one having a great time.

DH and I are a day apart and this year we were at WDW on our birthdays. We got our buttons from City Hall and wore them on our actual birthdays. We got plenty of happy birthday wishes and some small perks. PUSH the trashcan even sang happy birthday to my DH! It was a lot of fun.

I just spent my birthday at WDW for the very first time last week. I can't even tell you how many people wished me a "Happy Birthday Princess!" (since I was also wearing a princess santa hat :goodvibes ) Not only did nearly every castmember say it, but many visitors as well. The castmember in the candy store even had everyone in the store sing "Happy Birthday" to me. The best part of all was when this little girl came up to me after the MVMCP to wish me a Happy Birthday. Turns out her birthday was going to be two days later. I ran in the candy store (where everyone sang) and bought her a cute little princess wand to wish her a very Happy Birthday also. It was the most magical brithday I have ever had in all my 45 years. Can't wait to do it again next year! :sunny:

Thanks, everyone, for your stories. I loved reading them. My sister (51) is very laid back and I'm not going to tell her about your stories for fear she won't want to wear the birthday badge! She likes to sort of "blend in" and I plan to make sure she wears her birthday badge! Next year, my DH and I are planning to go in December and I hope we will be there on MY birthday (the 11th) so I can wear a birthday badge of my own!

Donna

Hey Donna,
My birthday is the 11th also! I must say, I didn't think I would want to stand out, but it really made the day that much more wonderful with everyone saying Happy Birthday! Your sister will love it! If you do go for your birthday next year, I'll see you there and maybe we can have a birthday drink together!

I wore a badge this past summer when my son and I both enjoyed birthdays at the world. I loved it and I know he did too. I even got everybody on the bus to sing to him. Live it up! You either get older :sunny: or you die, celebrate life!

Got one for my mom (who likes to blend in too) She says it was her best birthday ever - so very magical!! And you're right in addition to the wonderful CM's that would say Happy Birthday + her name (I bought the name badges too, so they would know who's bday it was!!), some of the guests while we were in line would break out in spontanous singing!! She loved it!!

I would make a point at stopping at each Guest Service, so she went home with a collection of bday pins - the first day was MK, we wore that bday pin to AK the next day, and a CM told us to get the AK bday badge - we said that yesterday was her ('actual') birthday, and the CM says, here at Disney you can celebrate all week!! So we did!! And on the Safari, the CM noted it, lets see, oh and on the Great Movie Ride, it really was a wonderful trip!!

Oh, PS...

MGM and MK have the same bday badge, its diffrent for Epcot, and AK!!

Dont forget the trading pins!! My mom loved trading pins too - I bought some pins on ebay, and got the Energizer pins, and mom would trade with the CM's, one day a kid came up to trade, and of course it was a kid, so she traded, but wouldnt trade her "fav" pin, she looked helpless, and I jumped in, and explained to the dad that mom wasnt a CM!! LOL he was embarrassed, mom and the kid were confused, but it all worked out!!

We saw birthday buttons on many many people of all ages. DD asked me "mom is everyday somebody's birthday?"

DH wore one on his birthday this year (against his will). He felt like it was for kids at first but the CM's had fun with him wearing it. One said "21 today, right sir?". Another said she usually guesses with the kids, but for him she'd just say Happy Birthday and leave it at that. Oh and when we went to Whispering Canyon.....well let's just say we had a great time. Funny enough that was the second time at WDW DH has been forced to do the hokey-pokey!! I guess he's just got a hokey-pokey face or something. Anyway, wear it proudly, and have a great time.

I did. I wore them for my birthday and I was 20. I didn't mind. I'm probably going to be in Disney for my next birthday and I'll wear them again.

Amen to that!

My wife got a birthday pin on our last trip. Dozens of people wished her a Happy Birthday. We walked into the Christmas shop in MK, and the CM behind the cash register called my wife over. She handed her the phone, dialed a number, and Goofy wished her a Happy Birthday! It was priceless!

I also wanted to add that I had my birthday dinner at the castle, and "Lady Monica" gave me two beautiful champagne flutes that are engraved "Cinderella's Royal Table". Waht a lovely surprise. :sunny:

I agree with this whole-heartedly. I plan to where one in a week and half because I think it will be fun for me. Besides that, I think my children will get a real kick out of Dad wearng a b-day badge! :goodvibes

As I've previously posted responding to someone wanting to know if he were too old for the badge at 17:

I plan on getting one when we are there in January, and I'm turning 39. DW and I are also celebrating our 10th anniversary. If I'm not too old, no way you should consider yourself too old.

On the other hand, I can always chalk mine up to a "mid-life crisis." LOL

DISNEY...FERRARI...DISNEY...FERRARI...DISNEY... And, the winner is - DISNEY!!!

Do they have aniversary badges? Me and Dh will be celebrating ours when we go down....I would love to wear one!

And if they do exist, do we get those at guest services also??
