Adult behavior at Chuck E Cheese

We have one near us in a nice area. I was "panhandled" there by kids asking me for tokens or soda. Um, no. Go ask your own parents.
I haven't had any issues with adults. Although, I've had kids beg for tokens and money. You say no, but they keep coming back. Surely, thier parents have a clue? ::yes:: Really sad.

There was an incident in Ohio recently where the adults at a kids party got angry that a photo booth wasn't working so they chased the manager into a back room and beat him severely. It was just outside of Cleveland. My daughter has seen the commercials for CEC and begged to go. I relented one day when our school had a snow day and no one else's did. Otherwise we stick to Dave & Busters. Cleaner, nicer environment and the prizes are better too.

He's not a Rat from New Jersey anymore. He officially became a Mouse in 1998 with the restructuring.

There is only 1 mouse, MICKEY! ::MickeyMo

Every other animated mouse like character is a rat imho. :P Okay okay, not Minnie. ::MinnieMo

Honestly, I dislike CEC so the crossover makes no difference to me (in fact I had no clue he was originally a NJ rat!) ... my family jokingly refers to Chuck as the rat. It's all in jest. :joker:

Mortimer Mouse? Speedy Gonzales? Mighty Mouse?

And yes, this is all in jest too. :) My original post said all other rodents, but I could foresee big trouble with Chip & Dale lovers so I had to edit. :D

I've seen several CEC-adults-gone-wild news stories over the years. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a website for it, kind of like People of Walmart (or maybe a show like Cops).

I love Chuck E Cheese. It's such a bargain compared to places like Dave and Busters. plus, there are always coupons for tokens and food. I get to play with my kids AND I just found out they serve beer. Yes, I had a beer at noon in a kids place. lol But seriously, we go about 2-3 a year and spend about 3 hours playing. (Go when then open!) it's rarely crowded when they open.

Chuck E. Cheese: the third circle of Hell.
Yep. I always hated it as a kid, the characters scared the crap outta me. I can't believe it's still popular.

Also this cause it reminds me of the feelings I had for that hell hole when I was little:

Yeah - I still take my kid there - a couple of times since I started this thread. And yeah there are still adults grabbing tickets during the "Ticket Splash". I took my kid this afternoon, and this time it was an guy (maybe early 30s) just grabbing a bunch right at my kid's feet while my kid was reaching down for them. And I saw this guy had also grabbed ones even when other kids got their hands on the tickets.

I didn't say anything. While it seems patently unfair (like adults at easter egg hunts), who wants to get into an argument (or even a fight) over a few worthless tickets? The value isn't much, but it's supposed to be something fun for the kids.
