Ads in threads?

I'm seeing the ads in threads. The ones that say register to remove ad. Obviously I'm registered and logged in. Is this a new thing? My browser is Google Chrome, but I checked & I see them in Firefox too.

I just saw them come up as well! It's honestly frustrating. I mean, the huge DreamsUnlimited reservation box at the top of the page is obnoxious, but now ads in the middle of threads?

Same thing here... I even went to double check and make sure I hadn't been signed out by accident... hmmm

They really REALLY need to fix this. Honestly I won't tolerate ads in the middle of threads

I'm another member who is not amused by the ads in the middle of a thread. It disrupts the conversation.

I have been a member here for a long time, and a client of DU for a bit less time, but may have to consider using another TA if these ads continue to be disruptive. I registered here and frequent these boards BECAUSE I knew I wouldn't be bothered by ads in mid-conversation.

There are other boards and other Travel Agencies.

If you must have ads within the threads, please consider making them either the first post of each thread, or have them float as the last post on a thread if that's possible. Then I might actually click on one to see what great deals you're offering!

The ads seem to be gone, thank you.

If you do consider using in-thread ads as a revenue source, please let users know ahead of time, and perhaps offer some kind of plan whereby we can pay not to have the ads. I do understand that DISboards.com takes a lot of money to operate, and don't want to see it go away. However, when viewing the site on a mobile device, even one extra item in a thread, especially an item with graphics, can take a lot of time to download!
