Hey ladies! So I just got back from our PS and I'm now able to book ADRs. First, where would you suggest that I look up information on the various places to go??? Ive never stayed on Disney property (our wedding will be the first time :lovestruc) so Im not sure of where to go. Not looking to do any big group reservations. If so, it would just be 1 for the bridal party (which consists of 9 people) and then I would like to do 2 reservations for me and DF. Any suggestions? Ive heard of Royal Court, that its IN the castle, :scared1:....OMG! I also heard its very expensive, but this could be a once in a lifetime, idk. Any thoughts?

Allears.net is my online bible for Disney dining. You can pick by location (ie MK, or a resort), then look at menus and reviews.

As for the Cinderella's Royal Table, we were persuaded by our friend who works at MK not to go to the Royal Table. She said it is over priced and while nice, not worth it (she also had some choice works for some of the people that work there lol). But on the other hand, some people swear by it and make it a stop every trip.

Thank you soooo much! Im bookmarking this site, lol. As for Royal Table, hmm...Im gonna look up reviews, but when an actual employee says something like that, I normally listen to the advice because they actually know. :)

I love love love allears.net! Best site for dining planning - although the menus are not always up to date - but it's close enough to give you a good idea of what you'd get in each place.

Good luck!

In my opinion, the food is not that great there. The ambiance is fun, but its worth 2 table service reservations on the DDP which is not worth it IMO because the food sucks.

I am going the day before the wedding but it is really for the Princess experience for the two young ladies at the wedding. All 7 of us ladies and girls are going for breakfast. The men are going to play golf. As it is breakfast you can't really go wrong with the food.

We have done breakfast at the castle once and it was great for the experience, it's just standard breakfast food though. You're paying for the experience of it- it's 2 TS credits but it does include the pictures with Cinderella (some other character dining experiences include the pic as well others charge extra- I haven't figured out which include the pic and which charge though). We are having dinner in the castle the day after our wedding because we like the setting- I'm not expecting stellar food. We are not doing the dining plan and we did have to pay up front with our credit card it came to $119 or something, I don't think that's too outrageous but we live in downtown Minneapolis and eating out is costly here (my dinner bill tonight was $147:sad2:).

For most ADR's you do not need to pay in advance but certain dinner shows etc will require pre-payment. I agree that allears.net is the best site for checking out menus. If you are on the dining plan I would recommend sticking to 1 TS meals, LeCellier is a really nice restaurant with nice ambiance and it is only 1 TS. If you are not on the dining plan I would get a Tables in Wonderland card (only available if you have a annual pass) which says you 20% on food and beverage in most restaurants- this is what we are doing then we are going to eat in some of the "signature" restaurants (2 TS) which we usually avoid because we figure no matter how good it is 2 different meals is almost always better than 1:upsidedow Good Luck!

not only is the cinderella castle deal overrated, you have to pay the ENTIRE bill to make a reservation. as in, you don't have to pay ahead of time to eat at the uber-exclusive victoria and alberts, but i haveto pay to make a reservatin at the royal table??!! eek!!

if you want cinderella goodness, try the character meal at the grand floridian - 1900 park fair i beleive? for a buffett dinner - all the characters from cinderella cycle thru and the buffett is not bad at all! plus how can you not want to eat a meal with lady tremaine and her ugly yet entertaining daughters? :rotfl:

I agree with the above posts. We did a lunch at the castle and we are probably not going back for years and years if ever again. The food is not great, the whole experience is rushed.

The dinner at 1900 Park Fare is awesome for Cinderella fans or the Akershus Princess breakfast is great for princess experiences. Both have good food and are not as expensive as eating in the castle.

I had never done it so me and (then) DF ate on my b'day back in Oct. 08. But now that I've eaten in the castle, at least I can say I did it once....

I have used allears.net since '03 for planning and meal info-it's a GREAT site!

Wow, I cant believe they (Royal Table) makes you pay up front...eek! Ok, I will def work off the site and see what sparks my interest. We're only going to be at Disney for 4 days, leaving the day after the wedding, so we're not doing the dining plan. We did recieve our annual passes so Ill have to look into the Wonderland table (i guess there's a discount with this???) ...like I said, this will be my first time actually staying on property so Im trying to figure it all out before hand lol. :)

We are doing the TIW card for the first time on our next trip (in Sept). You receive 20% off of many table service restaurants on property (including alcohol). The do add a 18% gratuity automatically however...
