Not to be too stupid, but what exactly is an adr and how does it work? Is it like the old priority seating? Do you have to pay in advance? Can they be cancelled? Does one have a prayer of getting into a restaurant without one?
Thanks,
Gretchen

Well depending on when your trip is, you may not get into a restaurant that you would like to, if you don't have an adr.

Yes.. it's like priority seating. Advance Dining Reservations.... you don't have to pay, at least not as far as I know for most restaurants. I didn't go to say Albert's.. someone else may know.

Well... good luck. We are staying off site this year for 1st time, condo at Windsor Hills, so we are not using the dining plan (we'll be there during free dining).. and I forgot about making a ressie for a character meal. I had my son choose one he really wanted to go to, and he chose Chef Mickey's, and I called the end of June.. and could only get a breakfast ressie for 10:00am. Only other choice was a 7:20am there, or if need be a dinner ressie at LTT for 9:30pm !!! All left for that week. :sad2:

So I say good luck.. and if you still have time & trip is a while away... please make reservations, or you may have trouble getting in where you would want to eat...

I would definately make ADRs for any meal/place you really want. And, it never hurts to call back if there is no availability. People cancel everyday and you may end up getting what you want!:wizard:
