I just made some ADRs for our upcoming trip. This trip we are going with family so there will be 5 of us. We couldn't always get the restaurants and/or times we wanted, but we were offered several times a table for 2 and then a table for 3 (or two tables for 3) with the possibility (but no guarantee) that they can be pushed together. I did end up booking that way but I am curious if anybody else has had this kind of booking experience and how it turned out in reality. The restaurants we did this for are:

Spoodles
O'Hana
Sci Fi

Thanks for any feedback!:thumbsup2

It happens all the time. The reservations will be linked in the system and you shouldn't have any problems. This happens when there's not an available table for the full party but there are smaller tables that will accommodate things. If you are really concerned, you can check at the podium anytime during the day and remind them of the seating. I've had several larger groups than five (12) and had split tables and we've always had no problem.

We had a reservation booked this way earlier this month. We had two tables for two. We ended up only needing one because our friends didn't join us but they sat us at a table for 4 anyway.
