We are going the 2nd week in Sep, staying at Poly with DH and 8 month old baby. I'm debating which day is better for us to do Ohana.

Sun 9/9 - 7:30am before heading to MK
Mon 9/10 - 7:30am before going to EP (if we don't do Ohana this day, I can do Garden Grill for lunch)

We also have CP reservations for Tues at lunchtime, and I'm not sure if this is too many character meals/buffets for just the three of us.

We eat dinner there twice each trip and usually breakfast once. I would do it on Sunday before going to MK because its faster to get to MK than Epcot after eating and you as the veteran of every single character meal except for Cape May I can tell you that you can never have enough character meals (at least according to an 8 year old and a 17 year old that I work for).

I'd suggest you go on the Epcot day. My reasoning is that MK is much more important to rope drop than Epcot, and if you eat at Ohana on MK day you won't be there for rope drop.

Easy to go from Poly to MK...better reserve soon. those ADRs don't last.
Luckily I have the adrs, just deciding which to drop!

We've not been rope droppers, even before baby, so I'm not as worried about this. But maybe I should be?

I would do it the other way around. While we do GG and Ohana in the same trip regularly, it's not my only two and I would rather have the variety of characters that CP and Ohana get you rather than mickey and pluto at both meals.

Also the reason I love the Poly is ease of access to both MK and Epcot. Just walk over to TTC, it's literally a 5 minute walk from the grand ceremonial house, and grab the express monorail to Epcot. 6 of one, half dozen of another... yes it's a longer monorail ride but not it's no big deal IMO, you're sitting on the monorail enjoying the view. I consider the hassle to get to Epcot over MK inconsequential from the Poly.

I guess it depends on if the 8th is your arrival day and what time you get in on the 8th if it is.

Honestly I had a 730 Ohana scheduled for the morning after arrival day, the night before I managed to shift it to 830 which was good because my in laws flight was delayed for more than 3 hours. By the time they got to the hotel it was after 11 PM.

If you're not going to be zonked for a 730 AM on Sunday, do that one.

There's no such thing as too many character meals in my book. I do think GG breakfast is better than Ohana breakfast though...

Getting in around 3:30pm on the 8th, but that is good to consider.

I have tried everyday of our 10 day vacation starting Nov. 23rd to get an ADR for 2 people at Ohanas without luck.....now im kicking myself for not booking it 180 days out.

Have you tried signing up for Touring Plans reservation finder? It is a free service and many report having good luck with it. Good luck!
