Okay, first dilemma: We are going with friends first of all, and they have been very casual about our adrs. Basically, Ive picked everything. However, they don't want to go to Boma; that's the only one they don't want. I am deathly afraid I won't like it either, but I was determined to try it. Now I know we can go ourselves, they are totally fine with that, but I still just don't know about it. When she and I got back online last night and looked at the menu, I was second guessing my deicison. Nothing sounded familiar. And I am really NOT one to get into exotic spices and flavors. So do you really need to have liberal taste buds to like this place, or is it one of those things that you try and think, WOW, I would have never ordered this stuff but it sure is good?

Second dilemma....They want to do CRT for breakfast. They have a dd4 and I have a dd3. I was just going to do Akershus. Heard great things about it and thought that would be plenty for my dd who is just now getting interested in the princesses. I just can't see spending two ts vouchers for this breakfast when she can visit with princesses in Norway. But the castle does sound fun too. Should I bite the bullet and do CRT with our friends, or should I go with Norway with just my crowd?

lastly....should I book Coral Reef? I just can't decide on this one either. The place looks cool for the kids, but I dont want to eat there just cause there's tanks in the place. It's a cool idea, but it seems like it will grow old after about a half an hour. What should I do? Would the kids do better here than LeCellier?

Thanks all. Any quick responses would be appreciated. I have to be up and early tomorrow to begin my adrs. Thanks.

I haven't tried Boma yet but I made an ADR for it this year because everyone always raves about it on the DIS.

I have done both Askerhus and CRT with my DD. When she was only 3 she didn't know the difference between the 2 and thought the building in Norway was a castle. Last year I took her to CRT for breakfast by myself because one of her little girl friends had told her about eating there. However I didn't use our dining credits for CRT because that would have been a waste, I just paid cash. It is cool to eat in the castle but I would wait until your DD is older and will really appreciate it more, if your friend insists on it I would definitely pay for it OP.

My DD loves Coral Reef and we have always had very good service and food. We did lunch at Le Cellier when my DD was 4 and the tables were too close together; so when my DD got restless it was hard to keep her from annoying the other diners.

We haven't done Boma mainly b/c I don't think we'll enjoy it!

We always do CRT and Norway on our trips. DD loves the castle, its purely magical to her. There are never enough princess meals for her:rotfl2: But if you haven't done CRT I would do that one. Your girls will also get a wand and a wishing star and the photo package is included in the price so it isn't that bad, I also always pay OOP b/c it isnt worth the 2 TS.

Our dd (5) loved Coral Reef. SHe loved to find the shark and the turtle all the time and you get a booklet with all the fish that are in the aquarium and dd loved to find the matching fish. The food at Coral Reef is also very good so I would say Coral Reef. Check out my review of Coral Reef here:

I have eaten at Boma a total of 5 times (4 for dinner, 1 for breakfast). I have to admit that the first couple of times, I did not enjoy it at all. I did not find many things I liked, but then again, I don't think I was willing to try a lot of the different food. The past two times I went (in Dec 07/Jan 08), I really enjoyed my meal. While it was different than probably anything I have eaten before, I enjoyed it a lot and found plenty to eat. I would try it if I were you!

In terms of CRT and Akershus, I have eaten at both. The food is pretty comparable at both places- typical breakfast food. I did eat at CRT before the whole picture package and price increase and while I enjoyed it, and it was really nice getting the opportunity to eat in the castle, I don't know that I could justify spending two TS credits for the meal. Akershus is very nice as well and there is a nice ambiance in the restaurant. You will get to meet almost the same princesses there and I think the character interaction was a little better there than CRT. I would go for Akershus.

Good luck!

We love Boma, and my kids have always found "safe/normal" food to eat and I've tried things I never thought I would. Our first time there I was surprised to find that much of the food had a Greek/Mediterranean taste and our server told us that there was a large Greek population in parts of Africa. So if you like Greek food at all, you'll certainly find things that'll taste familiar. There's also a lot of "normal" food with an "African" twist like the prime rib and the salmon and roasted meats. The great thing about a buffet is that you can try a lot of different things and you'll find something that you like :goodvibes

As for Princess breakfast, we did both when DD was (much)younger. She loved both of them equally. I would lean towards Norway until your DD is old enough to have memories of eating in the castle (and as someone previously mentioned, Norway looks like a castle :thumbsup2 )

My kids love  eating at Le Cellier (always have) DD14 has an "dislike" for fish/aquariums, so Coral Reef just doesn't do it for us

Budget wise your buddy could do CRT while you get to both Boma and the Princess meal.

You could also "soft shoe" Boma by doing breakfast there instead of dinner. Personally we loved the place for dinner and would have high expectations for breakfast. I have a B ADR there for our trip, but not sure if we'll get to keep it (might be an extra TS meal and I don't want to travel and pay for meal when we could eat resort CS and get that final time at the pool).

Forgot to comment on Coral Reef: we loved it and our plates were cleaned, went through a couple of baskets of bread. 5yo nephew ate his entire pizza, loved the tank and even had time to mark the activity sheet (mark all fo the sea life you see in the tank). Hardest ADR for us to get and I'm so glad it came through. I had a kids dessert, but chocolate lovers swoon over the Wave!

Boma- I say do it if you want to try it. True some things are on the adventrous side but they have a bunch of basics as well.

CRT- This is a great experience and any little girl would just love it but I would not spend 2 ts on it. There is no way you are getting your $$ worth that way. In fact you will be lossing big time bucks...however with that said if you can I would pay OOP for this and use my ts for an extra ts lunch/ character breakfast or signature meal. Never been to the Norway breakfast so I can not compare.

Coral Reef- Every trip our parents would take us here basically becuase while the food was good (not spectacular) I think it is one of the only place my brother and I behaved all meal because we were so into the fish:rotfl: Today my pick would be LeCellier because of food and ambience but Coral Reef is soemthing the kids would love.

Boma is my favorite eatery in Disney. Its a great place. Even my dad, a non-adventurous eater, loved it.

If you haven't done CRT, then that's a must! We have done both, but eating in the real castle is so neat especially for the kids! DD did not think the other was even a castle!
Coral Reef would probably be more enjoyable for your kids than LeCellier.
None of us liked Boma (the wait was really long almost an hour past our ADR) and we didn't find much we liked. All of us enjoy trying new things, but I struck out booking this one, both DH and DD said never again and I have to agree, there are much much better places. We didn't care for the spices and it seemed a lot of things had a coconut flavor which I don't care for.
