ADRs - The hardest part of planning...

HI All!
I just made all of our ADRs for our Thanksgiving trip to WDW - Yea! Did anyone else find that this was the hardest, most time consuming part of planning your trip? My DH says I overthink things but how can you possibly overthink where you're going to be on a certain day and where you're going to eat? I guess I just like to be more spontanious than that. Ah well...counting the days!

Agree 100% here. It is overwhelming, because the trip plans change depending on things like weather, etc, and the ADR's are pretty much set in stone. One thing I do is "double book" our faves (Chef Mickey's and Boma) so we have a second shot at them if the first time doesn't pan out. If we won't use the extra time I call the podium and cancel so someone else can have the table... Anyhow, my family mocks me for all my fussing but they have no idea of all the work that goes into trying to PREDICT what we'll do each day and what time will work for dinner!

Oh, thank you for agreeing with me! I really like your idea of double booking...one could even call the day of to cancel when plans for the day are firmed up. And the flexibility that allows would take some stress off me! Thanks for the tip!

Yes! I had so many ADR's to make that I had to plan the parks around the dining. It was fun, though.

I completely agree, as well. I'm really glad I'm not on the DDP!
