ADRs Require Credit Card...What About Free Dining?

Can someone tell me the procedure for booking ADRs when you have the free dining deal? Do you still have to give your credit card number? Do they charge anything? If so, when do you get your money back?

I have the free dining package and I made all of my ADR's and they never asked me for a credit card number.

Only certain places take a CC guarantee. I just made an ADR for Cali Grill and they took my CC number and will charge me $20 per person if we no-show or cancel within 24 hours of the ADR.

From what I understand, the meals you have to deposit on, they'll refund the amount when you show up and pay with the dining plan.

They ask for CC #'s for CRT, HDDR, Mickey Backyard BBQ, the Luale (sp?), PSB in Norway.

When we went in July I booked CRT breakfast and I gave them my cc # and it was never charged. I told the CM on the phone that we were using the dining plan and she said they would only charge it if we were no shows. Didn't have a problem at all.

Yea I just booked all mine today and were going with free dining... he only needed credit card info for the Fantasmic Dinner Package @ Mamma Melroses but its only if we cancel

Its no different if you have free dining or regular dining plan.

As others have said, we needed to give a cc# for CRT and Poly Luau, but nothing else.
