ADRs on Monday and I am clueless

So my ADR date is Monday and I have no clue exactly what I want in terms of dining for my trip in December. This isn't like me at all. All previous trips I had a list about 2 weeks out.

The only thing I know for certain is that I will be paying OOP for at least two dining experiences, Candlelight Processional and Tea at the Grand Floridian. Of course I know the CP dining packages are not out yet and won't be until later this summer.

Just frustrating that I have no clue what I am doing this trip. Wanted to try to do it without ADRs and wing it when I get there. But it is Christmas week and the chances of doing that will probably be very slim..

Hopefully I can make some decisions between now and monday...:headache:

Not helpful but hey maybe you should just bag it till you get yourself together. You can also have one of us pick your restaurants. And then invite us along!

I always pick my reservations knowing that we might change our mind, and sometimes we do. We've cancelled dinners (24hrs. in advance), changed restaurants, added meals, etc. Keep that in mind and maybe it will be easier to make decisions...you can always change them.

Well, I'd recommend just booking a few restaurants that interest you and look to make changes when you figure things out. You don't wanna chance missing out on an ADR and be stuck eating at Quick Services the entire time.

Who are you traveling with? What do you like to eat? I'd assume you've been to Disney before? What spots did you like?

I am going by myself.
I really liked 1900 Park Fare for breakfast.
And I want to give Via Napoli another try.

My friend told me to try a signature place but I can't choose. I am not what you call a picky eater but I am always worried I will go somewhere and not like the food at all.

I really have never eaten at any resort restaurants except 1900 and Ohana. I could give other resort places a try.

But I may just go ahead and book what I think I will enjoy and then if my mind/plans change I can always find something else.

Check out disney's website and you can look at all the menus and prices and they link to tripadvisor for reviews. Google disney food reviews or food blogs for additional reviews. There are great dining review threads on this message board to see pics and reviews.

I would start out figuring out which park you will be in each day and then look at the restaurants in that area to narrow them down.

Thanks everyone. I guess I will spend tomorrow researching and coming up with a plan..or potential plan.

Going solo does not mean it is easier to plan. Usually when we go my niece and sister decide and I just make the reservations and go. I guess i am just overwhelmed by it being 100% my choice this time around. LoL.

Definitely try some of the resort restaurants. How about a drink at one monorail resort then dinner at another, etc. It makes for a nice evening with some fun resort hopping & it's relaxing too. Also, as PP's have said just book a few tried & true restaurants so you have some ADR's then you can cancel them later if you change your mind. Or, since you're going solo what about dining in the lounge or at the bar of some restaurants? That way you don't have to have an ADR to eat somewhere yet you still get to enjoy most of the menu choices. Most of all though, enjoy yourself!!

Come up with a first draft and book them.

You can always make changes if and when something better comes along. But come up with that first draft tonight.
