ADR's now" Hoop Dee Doo - too late?

Greetings all,

I will be in DW in May, and once I get the books I ordered, I will start planning an itinerary. I'm assuming that I should start making ADRs at the resaurants I am interested in now?

Also, the Hoop Dee Doo show sounds cool, but am undecided if we want to do that. Would it be too late to wait another couple of weeks to try for reservations?

I would make the ADR for Hoop Dee Doo now. Pick a day and call. You can always try to change it later if necessary but in the meantime you have the ADR. You have to start your planning with something. We have done Hoop Dee Doo only twice in about 9 trips but everyone should go at least once.

I would do it SOON. That way it's made. THEN you can always cancel. You have 48 hours before your ressie to cancel without getting charged!

When we booked for last May (we did so in April) and I had to KEEP CALLING, b/c I couldn't get a good time. They only had a 9pm show open, and that would've been too late for my DD(2). I kept calling and got in for the 5:30 show.
