Ok here's what we're looking at. Travelling with 3 adults, and 2 kids aged 11 and 8. We are all "foodies" so are looking forward to having at least one sit down meal a day. I know some people think that's a waste of park time but for us, it's what will work best. The 11 yearold is a very adventurous eater and is looking forward to steak every night (we'll see how long she actually does this for, lol) while the 8yearold will be quite happy with the childrens offerings. Input welcome!

Breakfasts
Crystal Palace
1900 Park Fare

Lunch
Chefs De France (want to do this one because my friends daughter is in french immersion and we want to see Remy)

Dinners
Coral Reef
50's Prime time Cafe (me and 2 kids aged 8 and 11)
Fultons Crab (my friend and her husband)
Yak and Yeti
Teppan Edo
Tutto Italia (can you believe it's only 1 credit for 2012??)

Where am I missing??

I think you have some good choices. Are the kids into Winnie the Pooh? If not, I may skip Crystal Palace and switch to Tusker House at AK if feasible. Tusker House, IMO, is the best character breakfast - biggest selection, and if you can get an ADR at 8am when the park opens at 9am, you're right by the safari when you get out. In fact, I'd even switch your Yak & Yeti to Tusker House.

I also am down on Teppan Edo. If you have a hibachi restaurant where you live, then it won't be much of a unique experience and you may be disappointed. I thought they had a limited menu and no fried rice, which is a hibachi staple. We are much happier doing hibachi at home.

One of our favorite restaurants is Sci Fi at DHS. Great lunch spot, or even dinner in place of 50's PT. We aren't fans of the antics at 50's PT. Sci Fi is just so unique with the drive in theme - something you can't do any where else other than WDW :goodvibes

I too was surprised to see Tutto at 1 credit, after the rumors I heard. When are you going? They will be closed until at least May for refurbishments. The refurb schedule for Tutto was already pushed back once so keep an eye on it if you're going around then. Another good alternative is Via Napoli - we really liked the pizza and atmosphere there.

I think your choices are just fine! Like Nkereina, I might recommend changing one of your breakfasts to Tusker House if you will be in AK more than 1 day.

And I really think you could reconsider the Coral Reef meal. Food quality is REALLY hit and miss there. There are just so many other places to eat at Epcot that would give you a superior meal.

I wouldnt pass on Crystal Palace breakfast, even if your kids arent into the characters. The place is beautiful, plus (most important) the food is fantastic. The best part is that (if you time your ADRs right) you get to be in MK before the park opens. Keep this ADR! But i do agree that Tusker House is amazing, its one of my fave character breakfasts. I'd swap 1900 PF breakfast for Tusker.

IF you have hibachi in your home town, i'd skip Teppan Edo. They do have incredible food thou. If you dont go to a lot of hibachi, then give it a try.

50's Prime is a great place (food/atmosphere/antics), I think your kids will love it. The food is a bit better than Sci Fi. But Sci Fi does have a great atmosphere, only downfall is their menu. its not bad, but for dinner i'd stick with 50's.

I did manage to get an 8:50 reservation for Crystal Palace on a day the park opens at 9 so I'm HOPING we can get into the park around 830. That was my main idea behind doing that one, it's my friends familys first time there and thought it'd be awesome for them to get a relatively uncrowded first look at Main Street and the castle.

And as far as I know, there's no hibachi where I live, but I'm in Hamilton and noticed you're in Toronto.... a little off topic but are there some good ones in Toronto? I love Teppan Edo and would love to go somewhere like it outside of Disney.

We just returned this weekend and had 850 am reservations at CP last Sunday and my thoughts were similar to yours. It was VERY uncrowded and we were able to take a bunch of pictures around main street and in front of the castle. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Hope you guys have a blast.

I don't know about MK, but at AK, they wouldn't let us into our 8:10 Tusker House reservation until 8:05. I think 8 or 8:05 are the earliest reservations there though, so your experience at MK might be different.

Since you're in Hamilton, ever come down to Buffalo to go shopping like so many of your neighbors do? If so, we have a good hibachi here called Shogun, not too far from the mall. :thumbsup2

I would also stick with Crystal Palace. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet there but were very disappointed with Tusker House. The food wasn't anything special and the characters were really rushed.
