ADRs in Disney Springs

I have a few weeks before my ADR dates (no plus 10 for me, since I'm staying off property) and two of the 4 table service dinners we want are in Disney Springs.

T-Rex (for our son, who REALLY wants to go and we promised him we'd take him) and Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' (my choice and my husband agrees)

Would you try to book these via Disney or would you call each restaurant directly?

Our other two table service meals will be Chefs de France and SciFi (and we have backup options too).

I know for certain that you can for T-rex - if you call direct the confirmation will be your last name
