ADRs for offsite stay

Late October/early November will be our first off-site stay, so I'm only used to booking ADR's as an on-site guest. Couple questions, and I apologize if these have already been answered somewhere (but I haven't found a clear answer in my Unofficial Guide to WDW, etc.):

1. Can I make ADR's even though we're staying off-site?
2. If so, does the 180 day prior rule apply to me as an off-site guest, or do I have to wait longer before trying to make ADR's?

Thanks for your insight!

Yes and yes. The only thing that does not apply to you as an onsite guests is 180 + 10 booking. You can book 180 days out, but only at 180 days out - meaning you will have to do your bookings on each day that is 180 days from the day you want the reservation, and you won't be able to book them all at once if you want all your reservations made at 180 days.

Within 180 days, anyone can make a restaurant reservation, no matter where they are staying.

Onsite guests, as you know, can make reservations for up to 10 days of their stay on the day that is 180 days from their check-in day.
