I was looking at some of the lounge menus - notably Nomad in AK HBD in HS. I prefer the food to QS.

Do I need to make an ADR for the lounges?

How quick is the service? Trying to figure out if I can fit in a lunch at one of the lounges in between my fp times. I will be solo.

Also if picking between Nomad and Satuli - do I save a lot of steps picking Nomad? I ask because although I have time I need to get back to KS after lunch and I may be coming from EE. Yak and Yet QS is probably logistically better but have heard mixed reviews on it.

No ADRs for lounges. Being solo at Nomad I don't think you'll have too much trouble finding a seat at the bar or the large table inside, though.

Lounges are walk-up only, so it will just depend on how busy they are as to how long it takes to get a table and be served. As PP said, Nomad should be no problem. HBDL can be busy depending on the day and time. If your seated quickly, I would think an hour would be more than enough time, and probably 30-45 min would be the norm.

Walking by Nomad, it usually is not too crowded. If you can avoid going at prime times, that makes it even easier. It seems many waiting for a table at Tiffins are waiting in the indoor portion of Nomad which makes it seem more crowded.

Two of our favorite places at WDW and a must do every single trip (and we rarely ever repeat TS restaurants). We have been in Nomad Lounge when it has been busy, the inside can get crowded but there is almost always at least one seat available at the bar or outside. We have never not been able to get a seat somewhere there and if I'm solo I've never had a problem at all. We have had pretty good service there though I've noticed it tends to be slower outside then inside and when I go by myself a little slower than for large tables. Service at the bar is always excellent. HBD can get pretty busy right at lunch time. We tend to go right when it opens but did go around 1 or a little later in December and had to wait in line. It's first come first serve so if there is a line it's usually people waiting for a specific size table, we had the waitress come up to us when we were waiting because it was just two of us and the people in front of us need at least a 4 top so she let us go in front of them since there were a number of two tops available (I don't know why they didn't just take two two tops since they were right next to each other). We did notice that about 15 min. later there was no line and plenty of empty tables so it's hit or miss. Our service that day was a little slow, evidently the person that sat us was not the person who's table it was the that person didn't realize someone was sitting at their station. How they didn't know is beyond me since she walked by us at least 3 times, but it happens and we weren't in a huge hurry. Once she acknowledged us it went pretty well.

Nomad is awesome, and, yes, you'll save some steps by eating there instead of wandering into Pandora for Satuli. We've gone to Nomad numerous times as a party of 2 or 3 and have never had trouble finding a seat. The servers are attentive, but the food comes out just as it would for TS, so do allow yourself some time there. I would say at least an hour.

Thanks so much for all the feedback! Looking forward to trying out Nomad. HBD has always been a fave but being on my own this time, the lounge sounds like a better option.
