I was just wondering if you need ADRs for breakfast at Kona? We are staying at the Poly for part of the trip so can get room service for those pancakes and tonga toast but I am curious if we could just head to the restaurant? We are there August 10-15.

TIA

I made reservations just in case. (for breakfast and dinner) The pictures of the Tonga toast that someone put up on another thread made me really hungry. :lmao:

We aren't staying at the Poly, but at the All Star Sports the same time frame, maybe we will cross paths:) Have a great trip..

We stayed at the Poly 2 times previously and on both occasions we tried to walk in for breakfast several times . Sometimes we got a seat, sometimes we didn't. We are going again this Sept and I made my ADR's for breakfast (twice) lunch and dinner..:thumbsup2 Kona is becoming more and more popular. If you really want to eat there I would definately make ADR's. On the mornings we couldn't get into Kona we just grabbed Kona Coffee :lovestruc from the coffee bar and some pastries and jumped on the monorail. ;)

When we were there last April we made an adr but it was not needed, so you are probably better off making one just to be on the safe side.

You probably could walk in for breakfast, depending on the time, but if you know for sure that you want to go then I strongly recommend making ADRs. :)

I like to make ADRs for breakfast there because it gives me a starting point to my morning, and what better thing to look forward to first thing in the morning than those pancakes, Tonga toast, and 100% Kona coffee!!! :sunny:

Thank you all for your sage advice,

I will make an ADR for Breakfast and maybe one for dinner since we will be living there. My problem is that we get lost in the Disney moments and have trouble getting to our ADR's (the reason we are not DDP this trip), but hopefully if all I have to do is roll out of bed to make an ADR I will be able to do it!!!!:lmao:

Can't wait for the Poly adventure,

We're going in May and we made one just in case. We want to be in an out as quickly and as on time as possible so we can make it Epcot for rope drop. :)

I agree with the PPs. If you have it, at least you know you have a seat for sure and don't have to play the guessing game. I love Kona! They used to have the most fabulous potatoes there. I swear, I could make a meal of them alone. :)

SA53,
My family will be staying at the Poly Aug 10-15 also! Maybe we will see you there! I had made all of my ADRs and now want to go back and add Kona for breakfast and maybe dinner as well. Have a great trip!
