How far in advance can I make ADRs for meals at Disneyland? 60 days? 90 days? Is there the +10 day advantage for staying at a Disney hotel as there is at WDW? For example, at WDW you can call on day 90 and make all of your ADRS for that day plus the next 10 days. Is the same true for Disneyland?

ADRs at Disneyland are still called Priority Seating, and you can make arrangements 60 days in advance. The number is (714) 781-3463.

There is no advantage for Priority Seating Arrangements if you are staying at one of the DL hotels.

Rainforest Cafe is (714) 772-0413.

Thanks for the quick response with the phone numbers, too! I'm a little disappointed that there isn't the +10 day advantage as there is for staying on property at WDW but maybe it will still work out okay. I'd rather not have to call several days in a row for my priority seating arrangements but I will if I have to.

What time in the morning do they start answering the phones to take priority seating requests?

I believe it's 7am pacific time.

And booking is really not an enormous problem at DLR like it can be at WDW. Unless you're going for Blue Bayou at their earliest seating (getting that and checking in as early as possible is the easiest way of getting waterside seating if that's what you want), but even then IMO you're still more likely to get it than not.

And as a head's up, you don't get a confirmation number, it's just name and phone if I'm recalling correctly. Tends to weird out WDW people.

Just a little tip..we booked our reservations for the same time each day...that way if anyone got separated from the group, they knew to meet up at the same time. No keeping track with this time on this day and that time on the next.. :thumbsup2

No confirmation number? :scared1: Really? I am so used to the WDW way of the world that this may take a little getting use to...

Thanks for the tips! 7 am isn't so bad, it's 9 am my time. That I can do pretty easily at 60 days in advance.

No problem there, this trip will be just my DH and me. And he'd better have his cell phone along just in case we get separated! (Has happened at WDW...)

For WDW trips, I actually have an excell spread sheet I fill out for each trip. Of course, it has a column for my confirmation numbers for meals so that will be a switch this time.

Being a DLR regular and AP holder for years, I can tell you DL will be much different for you. We just returned from an 8 day trip to WDW and I could not believe how much we had to plan as we are so used to just "going with the flow" at DLR. Restaurants, shows, the list of things we had to make ADRs for went on and on. WDW has much more demand for ADRs than DLR, people just plan differently.

I got lunch ressies at Carnation Cafe the day before a trip to DL last month. NEVER would have been able to do that at WDW. The Blue Bayou is the one you really need to plan for at DL - otherwise, ressies aren't really that big of a deal.

I forgot & called 50 days prior, I got everything I wanted-no problem. Not sure if you're going during a peak time or not, we went when it was pretty quiet.

My only complaint was that I couldn't reserve water side seating at BB - it's first come first serve & we got there for our reservation early..10 min after they'd opened! :confused3

60 days out is plenty at DL. I've booked the day before and had no problems getting into restaurants. Even BB we were able to get the day before, BUT that was in January and that's NOT peak time. One time in Jan. we were able to walk in and get a waterside seat for dinner....again, not normal for BB. Dining at DL is much different than WDW from what I've heard. You shouldn't hae any problems getting the ressies you would like to have. :)

Thanks, everyone! We won't be there until August, 2009. We are staying at the Grand Californian 4 nights August 17-20. That's Monday through Thursday nights so I'm hoping it's a little less crowded than weekends.

Oh that will be so nice!!! I want to go around then too, our anniversary is the 20th. :) I love the GCH, it's so nice there. And if you wanted to try to make extra ressies there is a Disney Dining right on your phone at the GCH! :) It's at all the DLR hotels. :)

Our anniv is the 17th. :)

Can Vacation Planning make PSs for you? Or is that only if you book Concierge? Even though they can't do it ahead of time, if they can book the priority seatings, it would take one thing off your to-do list.

The waterside seats at the time of your PS were probably all filled by the people who had PS at the opening time. So you probably would have had better luck if your PS had been an hour after opening, b/c those people would be finishing up and the tables opening up. Maybe.

I agree that 60 days out is fine. I called 60 days out for BB during my Sept. trip and I was told I was the first one to call for that day. LOL guess there is not a HUGE demand for BB at 8am 60days from a off-peak date.

Vacation Planning will make PS arrangements and reservations for you (Fantasmic, etc.) if you are staying at one of the DLR hotels. You do not need to have concierge.

They are great for that.
