I want to make some ADR's for Dh and I (24 & 25) for our trip in Feb and from what I've been reading they have to be made pretty far in advance. I was looking at the dining at the MK castle, but it looks like I'm already too late for that one. Any advice on which ressies are best? Some of the character ones look cute, but are they only really for kids? I wanna meet Mickey and Pooh :wizard:

It's not too late for you to get ressies at the castle. Going in February you are within the 180 day mark and should be able to get a ressie, no problem. We are two adults who go to character meals. No one will mind or look at you funny. The characters will interact with you just as they do the kids.

We have no children so it's always just the two of us, before the DDP we could pretty much get in to most restaurants without an ADR but all that changed. If you know you want to dine in a certain restaurant, please do yourself a favor and make the adr's. For character dining we liked Liberty Tree Travern for dinner. Have fun.

I wouldn't think you would be to late for castle dining.

Character meals are definately not only for kids. Hubby and I go by ourselves..no problem at all. We love the characters also.

For seeing Pooh our favorite has always been the crystal palace in MK for breakfast. For Mickey..there is nothing like a breakfast reservation at chef mickeys the first day of your vacation..nothing like a kiss from mickey on the first day of vacation..really gets you off to a great start!

The most popular meal at the Castle is the breakfast, which is a character meal, and I think it is $32.99 now - I think you should definately still try and get an ADR - you might be suprised! If not, how about lunch ($32.99) or even dinner (£39.99) - with dinner you get a photo set and a lithograph, and if you time it right, you might even see Wishes going on in MK!! Magical! I don't think dinner is a character one, but I do think Cinderella still greets in the lobby!! Give it a go!!

For Mickey, I would choose Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort, Liberty Tree Tavern in MK -which is said to be the best character meal, food-wise, or if something more elaborate - Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Wilderness one evening - I think prices are $49.98 or something of the sort...

For Pooh Bear, definately do Crystal Palace in MK - this does breakfast, lunch and dinner....

I've never been to WDW, but looking forward to go!! We don't have any kids either but I'm going to be heading in there like the little ones with my autograph book!! Character meal wise, I've chosen the dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table, lunch at Crystal Palace, and breakfast at 1900 Park Fare (Alice, Mary Poppins, etc.. at the Grand Floridian)

Enjoy!!

DH and I are also going in February, we just made our ADRs. I don't think you are too late at all. Even if you don't initially get the ones you want, keep calling back and see if anything cancels. Definitely keep trying!

Anyone know the number to call for ADR's? Also is there a best time to call? :confused3

407-WDW-DINE!

I booked a last minute trip to WDW for November about 4 weeks ago and was able to get CRT even though I was well past the 180 day mark. It wasn't the day I wanted and I'm still trying to move it......but at least I have one.

As adults, my DH and I love Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace with Pooh and the Princess breakfast at Norway. We'd happily go to the first two without kids. We got to CRT because we have a 7 yr old......but it's not our thing. Hopefully she'll outgrow it in time as well!

Good luck and have fun making ressies.
