I was thinking about making an ADR at Cali Grill just for dessert, do they allow that? And is night time usually kid-friendly there? Like is it okay to go in there with shorts & a shirt - like going from park back to hotel room?

I'm glad you asked that; was wondering myself about doing an ADR just for dessert....

I believe CG is a Signature Dining restaurant, and thus has a business casual dress code. I don't know how strictly they enforce it, but personally, I wouldn't dine there in park attire.

It's kid friendly, in that children aren't out of place there. But it is upscale dining. Chef Mickey's it ain't.

CG does have a dress code. Nice khaki shorts and a polo for guys would be fine, and a nice summer dress for women would be fine. Some people go in park attire, some people go in tuxedos and ball gowns.

Wow - maybe dessert to go then....if they do such a thing!

I swear I think I'm going to gain 20 pounds on vacation from all of the eating I'm hoping to do :o)

You mentioned stopping at CG on the way back to the room...are you staying at the Contemporary? You can order dessert from room service. They'd probably gladly bring you a dessert from CG.

I don't think you can get take-out from CG. You can't even get up there without using a restricted-access elevator.
