Hi, All! This is my very first (yes, very first) post on the DIS. :)

My DH and I will be taking our 6 yo DD on her first trip to WDW for her birthday right after Thanksgiving. This will be my 3rd trip and DH's 2nd. We want this to be a dream trip for her.

I'm 9 days out from from my 180-day window and am getting nervous about the choices I've made so far. We don't have the dining plan (and don't plan to as we have a really good room-only discount).

I'm looking for opinions/suggestions on my plans, so here it goes:

11/26 - Arrival day: dinner at T-Rex at DTD
11/27 - Dinner at 1900 Park Fare
11/28 - Lunch at LeCellier (DH's pick)
11/29 - Dinner at Biergarten (DH's pick)
11/30 - Dinner at CRT
12/01 - no plans (rest day)
12/02 - Lunch at SciFi Dine-In (DH's pick)
12/03 - Breakfast at Tusker House
12/03 - Dinner at Kona Cafe (DH & me only)
12/04 - Breakfast at Crystal Palace
12/05 - Lunch at Akershus (DD is not picky at all)
12/06 - Breakfast at Chef Mickey's (departure day)

As a long-time lurker, I know that there are so many here that have wonderful insight. :worship:

Your choices look great. You can get the dining plan with your room discount in most cases. I'd check the numbers because it may be a money saver for you for many of the places you've chosen. You'll definitely come out ahead for your DD. It looks like you have 11 nights booked with 11 TS credits, plus out of pocket for T Rex which isn't on the plan.

Your choices look great! When you book your ADRs do Lecellier first if you really want it. I agree with pp, the dining plan will save you a couple bucks according to your dining choices. Lecellier is one credit for lunch and two credits for dinner on the dining plan. Good Luck!!:)

I had thought that if I purchased a dining plan that I wouldn't be eligible for the room-only discount as it would change my reservation from room-only to a package. Thank you for the tip! :) I'll definitely call reservations to see what I can do.

Quick update on this. I just got off the phone with reservations a few minutes ago. I took a while, but the great gal I got on the phone worked it out so that I could book a package with the DDP and still retain my original room discount!! :cool1:

Thank you for pointing me in that direction. I figure that it's costing about $400-$500 less than what I had originally calculated meals/snacks without the DDP!

Now just 8 more days to go until my ADR window opens up!
