ADRs for 1

I was supposed to be going to WDW in 3 weeks with my sister and her family but they may have to cancel due BILs job however this has yet to be decided. He was switched into another department and it is more important for him to get the time off for our Disney cruise in Sept then this trip. We are DVC and had added the dining plan and make all of our ADRs for our preferred times for 5 people. I am still planning to go whether or not sis and the family go.
My question is if I cancel our ADRs, like I know I should, will I still be able to get ADRs for 1 person 3 weeks or less out or should I just cancel DDP and wing it?

The only way to know for sure, is to call and try to book ADR's where you would like for 1. I think it may not be possible at this time. If that were the case, I would cancel the DDP. I would not want to pre pay for TS meals that I could not reserve.

I would call and explain it to the CM that some of your party is thinking about cancelling but you would like to keep your ADR's...and ask what would happen if they did cancel? I would keep the DP that way you can enjoy some great TS.

We were a party of 5 last time and at most places it was a table of 4 push together with a table for 2...so maybe at most TS you can keep you ADR's but also free up an extra table of 4. I'm sure the CM can help.
