ADRs easier to get than usual?

Anyone else noticing this?

Our ADR window opened and I was easily able to get what I consider hard-to-get reservations, for end of July- beginning of Aug. Out of curiosity, I rechecked later in the day, and even the next day, and there was still availability (at BOG, Cinderella's Breakfast, Chef Mickey, all around 8 AM, for example.)

Very different from what I'm used to! I wish I'd known, I would have slept later...

So you not book them in the mornings? Last time I went to Disney was able to book at nite. When does the window open?

We didn't decide to go until we were 4 months out and I was able to get everything I wanted including 3 PPO breakfasts, BOG dinner and 'Ohana dinner. We're going during spring break and Easter so I was really surprised at the availability even though we were 2 months late for the 180 day ADR window!

When did you go last? I could be wrong but think ADRs have always been at 6am. FP used to be at midnight but now they're at 7am.

You may be right. I could be confusing them. So 6am EST for ADR and 7am EST for FP?

Yes that's correct. Those are the times to book online. I think calling in is 7am for ADRs.

We also booked well within the 180 day mark for the start of the Spring Break season and had pretty much no issues getting what we wanted, when we wanted. The only thing we couldn't get was Dine with an Imagineer at HBD (we really enjoyed it in the past). To be fair, we don't really go for hyped-up, unnecessarily coveted ADRs anymore (but noticed just about everything had/has some availabilities) but we were shocked to see we had our choice of times for the Brunch at the Top at CG.

Maybe with everything that is in the works, some are choosing to hold off on trips until some of it is completed. :confused3

When I called at the 180 mark I got everything easily. The only exception was BoG dinner. For the entire 10 days we will be there they only had one time available at 20:45 hours.

I have never had any problems getting what I want on 'ADR day' if there is something special that must be booked 180 days out. If I wait too late, I can often find it by checking the app occasionally. The *only* exception was BoG during its opening week, but I waited too late to try and it did not show up later! All of the complaining about not getting ADR choices used to work me up, but it was much ado about nothing.

We only started booking about 4 months out and I've been able to see lots of availability for most things except BoG. But then again, I don't really have a "must-do" reservation either.

Easier than usual depends on what “usual” means to you. If you’re used to booking for November, which seems to be the most difficult time to book, then the less intense days of summer may seem “easier.”

We usually travel at the end of August, we've moved our trip to the end of July, which I had imagined would be a busier time...in any case, I just experimented, and can still book a PPO seating for Cinderella's Royal table. I thought those were grabbed immediately! It is unusual, in my experience at least. Hoping it means that crowds won't be too crazy. I agree with a PP, maybe people are waiting for Toy Story Land opening date before booking.

I have a TA do our May ADRs (she gets up in the morning so I don’t have to :worship:). She mentioned that that’s the easiest she’s ever had ADRs go. Basically we got exact times for everything we wanted. I even went back a week later and added a noon BOG on one of our MK days which struck me as odd. I don’t know how normal or not this is but there is still availability for the dessert parties and EMM. Maybe people are waiting for TSL. Or maybe everyone got the memo that the slow time was Jan this year (which then became ... not).

I didn't book our May trip until the 2nd week of January. CG brunch was tough since I needed a table for 4 on Mother's Day-found tables for 2 so booked 2 of those, have since found an ADR for 4. Ohana dinner was either very early or very late. PPO breakfast at GG no problem, CRT has been booked and moved around a few times also. BoG was the only one that I couldn't get and the tp reservation finder helped me with that within a few days of putting in my search.

I was able to get all I wanted at 180 days, and played around quite a bit for the next few months. Just only in the past month or so has it been harder to get anything for Easter week. Though we are pretty firmed up, now that I have fast passes set I am trying to toy a bit. So far the reservation finder has come through on everything within days (except BOG, so decided to live with what we got). Just waiting on a possible date change for our CRT meal and have pretty high hope.

I booked FP+ last Monday (60 day window) for Easter and after making some changes realized I wanted to pick up a BOG lunch and CRT breakfast on Easter Sunday and Tuesday. As of yesterday evening I picked up both and also saw 2 10am-ish BOG breakfasts and 1 lunch in addition to what I booked. Easiest time ever making changes.

We are going at the end of May. This week I was able to pick up 2 PPO BOG reservations. I started booking 2 weeks ago and have been able to get everything I wanted. I did get help from TP getting a better time on a CRT dinner reservation, 5:30 as compared to the 4 or 8 pm that were available.
