I'm anxious on hearing the schools of thought on ADR times. Is it smarter in your opinion to make your dinner ressies in the 4-5 o'clock range or the 8 or later time frame. I know there are pros and cons to each, but this inquiring mind wants to know. ;)

We have ADRs ranging from 4 to 7 at Coral Reef, Brown Derby, Ohana, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, LeCellier, Cali Grill and Le Chefs de France.

I'm hoping we can walk off all those wonderfully free calories!:cool1:

We try for early ADRs so we get to the restaurant close to opening and have room for a yummy snack during the fireworks. ;)

We tend to like a bit later range 7:30 to 8:30. I don't feel rushed to get there this way.
We like to linger and relax over our evening meal.
It is really just a personal preference.

This trip we are doing early ADRs (5pm-ish). I think it's a nice break in the early evening, and I won't miss any of the night time festivities by eating later. And I'll beat the dinner rush.

Last trip (Just DH & myself) did the later ADR. We found that we were worn out by the time we returned to the room. We actually took 2 bottles of our favorite wine to enjoy in our room and never even opened them. Next January we are doing earlier ADRs so we can relax after dinner.

For us, it depends on when we're going. During the hot months, early evening ADRs were the perfect air conditioned break when the heat started getting to us and we had plenty of time to enjoy the parks after dinner. But we normally eat later at home and for our Dec trip, we have late evening ADRs rather than taking an hour or two out of the already shorter park hours for dinner.

Later times 8:00 or 8:30

We try for the 5:30 to 6:30 range. We usually are up and eating breakfast by 8 am, share a CS for lunch so by that time rolls around we are pretty hungry. I dont like to eat a late dinner, it makes me so tired and heavy feeling.
