Just booked first 10 days ADRs and surprised how easy and straightforward it was. Was beginning to panic after reading about people having problems - bookings not being recognised if staying OKW, 12 digit numbers etc and thought I was set for a couple of hours stewing behind the laptop getting more wound up as time went on but was done in about 20 mins.
Only thing I couldn't get was Fantasmic package for end of July but don't think dates are out yet so will keep trying.
One thing I was a bit concerned with was several of them said we may not be seated together (5 of us, 2 ad and 3 kids). Hope when we are there we can wait for a table together.

I shouldn't worry about being told you might not be seated together. I think it is just a generic thing they say to parties with more than four people as there are some restaurants which may not be able to accommodate larger parties together. However, we have visited as a group of 7 and a group of 8 and only once (at Crystal Palace) not been seated together (and even then, there were four of us at one table and four at the table right next to us).

Well done on getting your ADRs booked :thumbsup2

Did it accept your 12 digit number? I try every day, won't accept mine.

I camt wait to book ours! Hopefully you got all you wanted

Charter Travel have just confirmed my no. with Disney & it's 3 letters & 5 numbers. I was told it had changed from the 12 digit ones. Will try it now & let you know.

Should I be worried if I have a 12 digit number and I am staying at OKW?

We only just got ours from Disney and I have managed to retrieve the booking on Disney.com - is there a way I can check that this will work when I come to book my dining in April?

Well done Beth01dog on getting all you wanted painlessly!!

I think you'l be okay if you've retrieved your booking, I have retrieved mine too. Maybe they're in the process of changing the numbers, so they have a mixture.

I can retrieve my hotel booking no problem but can't confirm it when trying to make dining reservations, tried every way possible but they won't link with 12 digit number.

Did Beth do hers with 12 or 8 digits?
T-Tink - maybe it would be worth a call or e mail to ask.

thanks Sharon, I think I'll get in touch and see! so I need 3 letters and 5 digits now?

Suppose problem with the online system is that you can't check out your ability to link to your accom res before your window opens so you've no way of knowing if it'll work or not!?! This planning lark is way too stressful (but I'm glad i've got the DIS to forewarn me of these little niggles!!!)

You are correct, there is no way of knowing until your 180 day arrives. All looked good for mine but at 180 days would only let me book the 1 meal without linking to DDP.

Been in touch with Kerry at Complete Orlando, she says the 3 letters and 5 digit format is only available if booking direct with Disney. I replied just before 5pm yesterday telling her Charter travel are now also issuing this format, I await her response.

I booked with Disney and have a 6 digit booking ref. Hoping to book ADR's online on 7th Feb.
Does anyone know what time in the morning you can start booking them? I know last time I had to wait till 12.00 noon for telephone booking (7.00 am Orlando time) I'm at work that day and will find it difficult to book during the day!:surfweb::surfweb:

You will need to get in touch with Disney to get a US reservation number. They usually give it to you by email, some people ring them.
It used to be a 12 digit number to book meals, now sounds like you need the 3 letters and 5 digit format.

Online you can book from 11am, by phone from 12 noon.

Thanks for heads up just rang and got reference, she said to try on line early morning, otherwise will have to try and work it into my day! (Need an 8.05 at Crystal Palace on day 1)

I've just called, still being given a 12 digit dining reservation number - no alpha/numerical one. The lady I spoke with did say that there were many people who have had to call back as the reservation number doesn't seem to be working (for some?:confused3)

Also, when I sign in via Disney.co.uk using my user name and password, my reservation is still not showing, whether I use the 6 or the 8 digit confirmation number that has been provided :headache:

But if I go to "manage my booking" and put the 6 digit code in, the reservation shows - just can't do anything with it from that point on!

Very frustrating!! If the website, for the company that I work for was having fundamental issues, it would be dealt with immediately so I am very surprised by the nonchalant approach. Was hoping to be able to view my booking and all my ADRs from the one page, but that does not seem to be an option :sad1:

Rant over :lmao:

Did they give you the 12 digit or 5 & 3?

It will be exactly 11am online, last week I tried at 2 minutes to, it was only showing upto the day before I wanted, it was exactly 11am when my dates became live. I assume its done by computer and timed to 11am, can't see them doing it manually every day.

I got the 5 and 3! Looks like it will have to be a sneaky phone call at lunchtime.:surfweb:

Did it accept your 12 digit number? I try every day, won't accept mine.

Its all a bit strange. I could log in using a 6 digit number to see my hotel reservation which states dining plan etc. but it wouldn't accept the 12 digit number until I went into the dining reservation process. I clicked on a date to book and it said too far ahead and only available for resort guests and do you have a reservation number? I then put in the 12 digit number which it accepted fine and let me make all my reservations. When I then clicked on My Reservations at the end to check them all there was no hotel booking. It gave the option to search for the booking and it found it and added it to my dining reservations. Since then I've gone in daily using the 12 digit no and done my extra days. Booked Rainforest Cafe online so looks like the new restaurants are on the system now.

So now is everyone having the same problem I had in October?

I've booked ADRS, but they aren't linked to my dining plan, is this going to be a problem for me?

Cheers

Rachel
