hi im not sure this is best spot for this but we are going in May 2014 for my families 1st trip . there are a few places I want to make ADRS at I know I need to make them 180 days prior. but my question is right now I kinda have each day planned out as far as what park and where to eat each day. but when does the park hours/show times and stuff come out ? I would hate to make ADRS at DHS and there be no fantasmic show the night I have planned for DHS. will the park info be out before my 180 mark ?? so I can change my park days to suit the shows and wishes we want to see without having to cancel ADRS ....:confused3. thanks for any help

The hours will typically come out mid-month the month before you have to make ADRs. With a May trip, you should be able to glean a lot of that info from this year's hours.

The travel agent calendar will come out approx. 6 1/2 months before May. You should have plenty of time to look at the calendar before your 180 day mark. Here is the link for May 2013. It will switch to 2014 as soon as it is updated. Bookmark it and hit refresh to see if it has been updated when it gets closer to the 6 1/2 month mark...

The park hours will be released prior to your 180 day mark, maybe not by much, but it will be prior.

It's good that you want to know where you want to eat, but I usually suggest waiting until the park hours come out so you can see how it fits into the schedule.

Breakfast times can often vary depending on AM extra magic hours. Dinner ADRs can often depend on fireworks or PM extra magic hours. The schedule will dictate (for the most part) what parks will be crowded when, which is a great tool when choosing what park you want to go to, which is a huge help in determining what day you eat where.

Just know going into it that park hours can change again once they have been posted. We go in early to mid-December, and without fail they end up changing the MK open time a couple days of our trip just a few weeks before we leave. At that point, a lot of folks end up ditching their early ADRs that used to be pre-park open, but are no longer. Not sure how common that is in May, but maybe near Mother's Day or Memorial Day weekend? Just something to be aware of.
