Has anyone had experience booking ADR's before finalizing dates and booking a package?

I am planning a trip for the middle of January for my niece and I. I know that that the package prices tend not to be released until August for the following year but the 180 day mark for our trip would be roughly the 10th of July.

There shouldn't be too big an issue making ADR's for my planned dates, eventhough nothing has been booked, correct?

You can make the reservations for meals without a package booked, you just can't use the 180+10 perk. You would have to call 180 days out from each reservation day you want, or else wait until it's 180 days from the last day you want to dine, and make them all then.

Or you can wait until you book. If you are making reservations for that 2nd week of January time frame, I don't think you will have too many issues.

My wife and I are 90% sure we are going to book a trip dec 26-jan 1 this year. We only had the idea this past weekend, but as soon as we where serious first thing I did was book a bunch of ADR's. All you need is a credit card for some of the signature restaurants. If you decide you can't go, just cancel, you won't get charged anything unless you forget to cancel the reservation until the last day.

The only ones I didn't book yet is the castle because you have to pay in advance, so I am waiting until we get our dining plan.
