Ok..First it was trying to decide if we should do they dining plan. I am about 95% sure it is not for us. Now I am planning what ADR's I want to make. We will be at the World from Feb 28-March 9, 2007. It is myself, DH and DD (who will be going on 2 1/2). Right now I have planned Ohana dinner, Akershaus Breakfast, Ohana breakfast and 1900 Park Fare. Is this too many character meals? If I took one out it would be 1900. I know we will be back for many more trips. This is our 5th since we were married in 01. I feel like I might be planning too many character meals this time and not leaving any to experience on future trips. Maybe I am just thinking about it too hard. :headache: I appreciate any advice. :wave2:

For a 2 year old, I don't think you can have too many character meals. JMO

Its not too many character meals, IMO. If you plan on eating counter service other than those that you listed, than the dining plan isnt for you. If you planned on 1 TS per day, whether it is b,l, or d, you may want to reconsider the plan. But it isnt for everyone. If sharing adult meals is no longer going to be allowed, I wouldnt get the plan myself :sad2:

I think you have only scratched the surface of character meals! Since Ohana Dinner is not one you are only doing three and we typically do two every trip.

You still have plenty to do ... Chef Mickeys, CRT, Crystal Palace and more!

I would encourage you to make a few ADR's for ala carte meals. We tend to get buffet / family styled out after a few of them. But everyone is different!

Thanks for the advice, but we will probably eat a lot of counter service and some DTD and ESPN Club.

What would you eat the rest of your day?

You picked two breakfasts, which are cheaper than dinners. (Wasn't sure which meal you planned at 1990...)

However, given the addition of 6.5% tax and a 15% tip for buffet/family style meal (included in DP), with the dining plan cost of $37.99, you have between $14.99 and $6.41 left for a CS and a snack to break even on the plan. The dinner prices give you a better deal than breakfast on the dining plan.

I assume the child eats from your plate? Not having young ones, I don't know the protocol.

You will get the best value for you DDP eating some TS dinners. There are some Character Dinners. The breakfast are the cheapest meals and not a best value on the DDP. We had 5 TS meals in may. They ranged from $58-114.00 for 2 adults. Mousesavers.com and Allears.com explains the better value on the plan. Our CS averaged $30.00. If it was be I would book Dinners and feed her breakfast with the CS at the hotel. It's up to you but check out how to get the most for your money. We are taking the family in Oct and this is what we are doing.
