ADR's and FP+

Is it true that you can't schedule a FP an hr before and ADR and two hrs after an ADR?

I scheduled our FP+ last night and it booked one within an hour of my ADR. It simply gives a warning that it's close to an ADR.

I had one that overlapped. Now the window in from 3:35-4:35, and dinner reservation at 4:45.

So both aren't correct.

When you schedule FP+ initially (options A, B, C, and Best Match), system does not take ADRs into consideration except warning you that your FP+ reservation overlaps with dining. So you can have FP+ ovelaping with dining or within 2 hours of ADR if you keep initial pics. If you want to change times after initial pics, the system will not give you options to reschedule FP+ until 2 hours after ADR time. You can get around that by scheduling ADRs after FP+ are made or by not having one person on ADR (you only need one name on ADRs, others can be just "guests"), scheduling FP+ for that person and copying it to everyone else.
