I called this a.m. to make ADRs for our trip (6/25/06 through 7/5/06) and thought we were allowed to make ADRs for 180 days +10 (s o you could book your whole trip. Well, I was only able to make ADRs for the June portion of the trip. The guy tried several different restaurant and on a few days in early July and no availability would come up. He said it may have to do with not having July park hours yet. Has anyone been successful making any ADRs in early July yet? I got most of the ADRs we really wanted so I just have to call back in a day or a few more days. Anyone else run into this?

Disney resort guest can make ADRs 180 days prior to the beginning of their stay, for the entirety of up to a 10 day say.

Don't tell me this! I'm calling tomorrow and I want to make sure I have my July 4 ADR. Are you staying on site?

I know you can make ADRs for 180 days out for your entire stay. I called this a.m. and WDW dining took all my ADRs from 6/25/06 through and including 6/30/06, but when they tried for 7/1/06 they couldn't make them, They tried several restaurants, on 7/1 and 7/2 and no availability would come up. The guy on the phone said it probably wasn't in the system yet and to try back tomorrow or next week. You are supposed to be able to make ADRs for 180 days out for your whole trip.

Teacher31: I am staying on site at BCV and OKW. I'm a DVC member and was thinking of calling them just to see if they can do it so I don't have to wait. I will also try to call WDW dining again tomorrow to see if it has been rectified. I don't think you will have a problem getting a July 4th ADR as long as you call ASAP. I'd still call tomorrow and if July isn't in the computer system yet then call every day until you get your ADR for July 4th!

Long story short...I was able to make my ADRs today. When I asked about the July dates she said no and they won't be available until Jan. 3. Good to know and thought I'd share.

Thanks so much for letting me know! You saved me some time (and a long distance call). Guess I'll be calling later then. Thanks again! :0)

CALL BACK AGAIN !

I mist have gotten an experienced CM...
our dates 6/24 -> 7/3
I was able to get Rose & Crown lunch on 7/1, Fantasmic H&V on 7/2 and Tony's for lunch on 7/3.

Try and try again - till you get someone with the know how - or wait till Jan 2nd for July 1st 180 day mark.

Also should I cancel Tony's and eat somewhere else ?
I have never read a good Tony's review (but that's another topic :rotfl: )

Thanks, I'll try.

As far as Tony's goes - it's a cute experience. However, being the frugal person I am, I don't like paying $20 for spaghetti and one meatball (it was large). No salad. My daughter ordered ravioli off of the kids menu because she's a child and she got 4. She eats practically nothing and she was starving when we left. I'd suggest someplace else.

Tony's is basically only one of two regular full-service luncheon restaurants in the park, that isn't a character meal or buffet. It is clearly going to cost quite a bit more than a comparable restaurant would cost on 192.

Does the 180 day for WDW guests include those staying at the Swan/Dolphin??

pbharris4 - CALL AGAIN! I did because someone here suggested it. I got two July ADRs before the system was having problems. The CM told me to call back later today. When I called last night I used my phone number. The CM today asked specifically for my resort number. That is why I could do it today. Good luck!

I'll do that! When I called the last time they had asked for my reservation #. They must be having computer problems or something. Do you happen to know if we can book the "new character meal" at MGM yet? I heard it was in May and also heard it may be a Toy Story meal. I'll ask when I call. Glad you got your ADRs.

I just called WDW Dine and was able to get ADRs for July 1st and July 2nd, but not the 3rd or 4th. Geesh. My stay starts 6/25 and we check out 7/5 so the 180 day +10 days of the trip doesn't seem to be working right now. Guess they are still working out the glitches. I'll call back next week for the other 2 days. I got all the important ones that we really wanted. Although..is there a great place to eat for 4th of July? I had tyhought about it before, but by then our 3 yo DD will be pooped out and we leave the next day. I wasn't sure if the fireworks were even better on the 4th of July or if it would be worth having her stay up to watch them.

Hate to nag BUT call again! I got our ADRs up to July 5. We arrive on June 26 and are heading out on the 5th. You mentioned something about the 4th. We don't want to be anywhere near a park that day - just soaking up some Disney feel elsewhere. We are having dinner at Cape May Cafe & then doing the Boardwalk until fireworks at Epcot. I have heard the fireworks are wonderful for the 4th, but they also do it on the 3rd. Guess it's kind of a trial run.

This 180 day thing came after our last trip in October 05. I do remember all of the drama about park hours not being out before our 90 day window. Does this mean WDW will be releasing all park hours at least 180 days out, including EMH? (just preparing for our Dec 06 trip :flower: )

You're not nagging. I truly appreciate it! :flower: I must have bad luck or something. The only thing that I can think of is that I am doing a split stay so I have 2 different reservation#s. So they might be treating the 2nd reservation as a sepaate trip and not really 180 days out? :earseek: It's no big deal. I can call Friday or early next week. There's not going to be a big rush for the places we want. Cape May Cafe is one of our favorites!! We'll be doing breakfast there on 6/26 and dinner on 6/30/06. I think the 4th we are doing Boma for dinner. If you haven't tried there yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. Even the pickiest of eaters can find something they like! :)

That could be true. They have June's hours and EMH out already!

Thanks for the tip about Boma. I already made reservations for dinner on the night we arrive there! It's been fun chatting with you.

OK, I thought I understood this. Isn't it 180 days out from your first day and then up to ten days of your trip?

180 day +10 days

Are you saying 190 days out? That's not correct is it?

Yes it is 180, but I think the issue arises when it goes into the next month. Tip -just keep calling and you'll get them. When I had asked during my first phone call about the length of stay reservations bit she said I was too early. Next day, today, I got them all. Guess it depends. Hopefully I answered your question!
