With the free dining that I will assume will be going on in September, just how hard is it to get your wanted ADRs???? Should they be book as soon as your 180 day date is out or can you wait a little later? Can someone who has been within the last two years during this time period with free dining give me a little insight??:) :)

I've been the past 3 Septembers. Make them at 180 days FOR SURE. We were only offered 4:30 pm for dinner at LeCellier this last year and we called at 180 days. Have fun getting all your decisions made!

Planning is so much fun!:goodvibes

Well, it all depends on which ADRs you are trying to get. This will be our 4th trip this Sept with free dining, and we have had good luck with ADRs in the past. In year 1, 2005, we made our ADRs about 30 days ahead of time, and were able to get everything we wanted, including Ohana, HDDR, LTT, Boma. By year 2, 2006, free dining was more popular, and we booked earlier- ADRs were made about 90-100 days in advance. We were still able to get Coral Reef, Kona, Le Cellier, Crystal Palace, Boma, altho this trip we did have to be a little more flexible in our times. Year 3, 2007, I made my initial ADRs about 130-140 days in advance, and was able to get everything I wanted at exactly the times I wanted. This included Kona, Coral Reef, Boma, Yachtsman, Cape May, HBD, 50s PTC. I was still making changes up to a month before our trip, and other than Coral Reef, was able to still get what I wanted pretty much when I wanted. As each year has passed, it has gotten a little more difficult, but still not impossible. Just because we booked this one so much earlier, and I have all this extra time to plan, I plan on booking at my 180 day mark, but its not impossible if you dont!! I would recommend you book your must dos early if you can however- just to avoid any disappoinment!! :)

I plan on making them 180 days out! All of them. As far as I know, my 180 day date will be on March 24th.

I think, but am not sure if you still can, if you have the Disney Rewards VISA Card you can call 190 days out. Can anyone confirm that. We just did 150 days out for 6 days in June and got everything no problem. But we have also done the free DDP last 2 Septembers and call at 180 days for each day especially for Le Cellier, Kona and Coral Reef.

Le Cellier
Coral Reef
Teppan Edo (still not sure if on DDP)
Rose and Crown to see Illusions
Kona CAfe
Chefs De France
Crystal Palace Breakfast

DEFINITELY at 180 days out. We could not get Whispering Canyon and one other one and were only able to get LeCellier for lunch (we wanted to try for dinner for a change) because we waited until about 150 days out when we went in September. We will do at 180 days this year for sure!

I don't know about the VISA card and 190 days out, but I do have one. I have never heard this one.

I think you can book 180 days out plus 10 from the start of you reservation, so you don't have to call every day for each day of your reservation, given that most reservations/stays are not for more than 10 days. Just the way I understand it. Since free dining was already offered and accepted by the masses..me included, book ASAP! this year is a whole new game and people have already booked, not like last year when I had to wait to see if it was offered and then book... no waiting and wondering this yr...
