ADR's (180 +10) for a short stay? Help me understand please

Hi all..

Planning my second trip to WDW from Australia... last one in Sept 2009... this one in Jan 8-20th... so excited.

My question is... if I book a couple of nights at the start of my trip on-site and then move off-site for the balance of my trip, can I still take advantage of the 180 +10 ADR's for my entire trip?

And can I get the Wrist Bands and use them for the whole trip?

We will be there a couple of days without my parents who will join me later and then we will move to accommodation they have arranged...

The online system, in my experience, will not allow you to book ADR's past your on-site check out date - HOWEVER, I've never had a problem doing it over the phone. Calling from Australia will be $$ but it should work. I did have one CM say she couldn't do it, but I asked her to try and she was surprised her system allowed her to do it. (This was for a split stay, but I've also done it for On site then offsite).

As for MB's, they will work with your tickets & FP's, but I am fairly certain you will no longer be able to charge to them. Could be wrong on that.

Also, for FP+ bookings, it seems like you will be able to book all your FP's at the 60-day mark for the length of your TICKET, not your STAY. that was also my experience recently, so make sure your ticket includes all the days you will be there.

Supposedly this has changed at the beginning of July and all the CMs computers now restrict them to the length of stay as well.

I believe they can book the actual length of stay, including any split stays, whereas the online system won't let you book into the second half of a split stay.
