So I am a month late in booking my ADRs (I know, I'm bad!!!). We will be there Oct 13-20. I need a dinner reservation at Coral Reef, Flying Fish, The Garden Grill, and The Wave. We would like Coral Reef either on the 14th or the 17th. We can do The Garden Grill on the 14th or the 17th as well - either or. We would like Flying Fish on the 15th and The Wave on the 18th. We have a dinner ADR at Crystal Palace on the 16th for 4:50pm. If we could get it to be more between 5pm and 5:30pm that would be great. There are 6 of us. We typically like to eat between 5pm and 5:30pm so that we have time in the evening to do what we want. If anyone has a ressie that they need to cancel, please let me know!!!! :headache:

Just reposting. If anyone is thinking of canceling a reservation, PLEASE let me know. Thanks!!

You can subscribe to the October cancellation thread on the Dining Reservations board. There's not too much on it yet, but posts will increase as it gets closer to October.

Also, since you still have 5 months you can keep checking online to see if something you want opens up. Some of the places you mentioned such as The Wave and Flying Fish aren't usually that difficult to book. I just did a search for FF on Oct 15 at 5:30 for 6 and had a choice of 5:30 or 5:45. Most of the sigs don't open until 5:30 anyway. The restaurant's hours will be listed on the reservation page.

If your family likes to eat between 5:00 and 5:30 I would leave the Crystal Palace at 4:50 because CP tends to run behind schedule frequently.

Thank you so much for the link to the thread. I must be doing something wrong! How were you able to get a 5:30 reservation for 6 people for FF on October 15th when you searched? I've been looking non-stop and I keep getting the same times coming back over and over again.

I used the regular dining reservation page:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/#/reservations-accepted

I filled in the date, time and party size. Then under Dining Experience I checked "Reservations Accepted" and "Fine/Signature Dining" and for Cuisine I picked "Seafood." I clicked on the Green "Find a Table" button and 5:30 and 5:45 showed up as buttons to click next to Flying Fish. You can choose either of those times and it will take you to the sign in to make a reservation page.

I did notice that if I clicked on the name of a restaurant I was interested in first and then chose a day and time it came up with late times (3 choices around 7:30) for FF for Oct 15.

Hope this helps. If not, I would just call the dining line and make the reservations that way.

Ok I was on the same page but I was typing in the name of the restaurant, then clicking on that restaurant, and then filling in the info on the restaurant's page. I was just picking "Dinner" under the Time and that's when I kept getting the later time slots. I just chose 5:30pm as a time for FF and it came back with 5:30pm and 5:45pm. I was able to get the 5:45pm but I thought when you chose "Dinner" as the time that it would come back with all available times for Dinner. I don't know why it's doing this. Thanks though!

I've always had better luck getting the times that I want by choosing an exact time rather than the general timeframes they have.
