ADR time change.....not by me!?

I would just turn up at my original time with my printout confirmationand expect to be seated!

I would, too! They changed our CP breakfast on 4/5/14 from 8:20 to 8:15, so not a major change but I don't like that they just change times without asking what works for you.

Since these changes seem to have just ben made in the last day or so, hopefully they will still notify those affected. I would advise anyone with an early ADR to check their messages, emails or MDE. Hope it works out better for others than it did for us. I guess I shouldn't be too upset-in well over 20 trips, this is the first time anything like this has happened to us.

After my God awful experience yesterday, I received a call today from the General Manger of Sci Fi. At this point, my issue is not the really the change but, how horribly and incorrectly I was treated yesterday ( wrote a long email so, we will see what type of response I get). From what this GM explained.... there is some sort of special event that is going to be occurring that forced them to delay the opening time of the restaurant. I did not ask for what period of time or for how long but, it did perk my curiousity. He said that as of now , he cannot disclose details but, to keep an eye out because I might hear something about it in the near future...??? I'm going to look over at the rumor threads and see if anything was mentioned. Yes it seems that reservation changes were for May ( mine was May 21st). Mine is mid week so, I do not believe that it's Star Wars related. He was able to squeeze us in for a 12:10 reservation ( first one after opening) so, I think that would work for us. If anyone is willing to go with a noonish time, perhaps call Disney, speak with a supervisor and ask for them to put a ticket request in directly to the restaurant. That's what was done yesterday and as mentioned the GM called me today ( I thought the CM sup from yesterday was going to get back with me.... really glad she didnt ,because she was a sour old goat ( and that is a compliment).

Two days after, I received a very nice ( no sarcasm here ) agent from Sci Fi. It was a live person ( not a recording) informing me about the time change of my reservation (from the original 11:40 to 1:55)- I explained to her that it was modified yesterday by the GM and she verified that my new time was correct (12:10). She didnt have any additional information on what was going on (even though I did politely try to squeeze info out of her - I dont think she was privy to any)- So, they are still calling people. I wonder how many people were changed and werent aware of it

Our Thursday, May 15, 11:45 ADR at the Sci-Fi was changed to a 2:00pm ADR for that day. We had a notification call on our voicemail; said something about change in operating hours or schedule change. I did not get an email. MDE now has 2pm ADR.

I also had a 12:20 ADR for Monday, May 12, at the Sci-Fi which still remains as is. We will go for the Monday visit and likely cancel the 2pm on Thursday; it would keep us at the park later than planned.

Hi all....

There is a special Malicifent preview going on at HS end of April through May. I am guessing this is what it is.

On a side note........I think because of the change in ADR we will stay through till late afternoon then call it a day. We can go back to our resort, swim, go off site for dinner then have an early night. So I think it worked out for the best!

rting May 4th during Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, two new character meal experiences will be available through Star Wars Weekends. Booking begins tomorrow, March 26th for the dinner at Hollywood and Vine and breakfast at Sci-Fi Dine In.

The meals include a digital download of a photograph with Chip and Dale.

Star Wars Galactic Dine-In Breakfast will offer reservations from 8am until noon and is $47.99 for adults and $29.99 for kids. This also includes a digital photo of the party on a commemorative photopass card. Characters for breakfast include Stormtroopers, Jawa, Greedo, Boba Fett and Darth Vader. Instead of the normal sci fi movie clips, the big screen will feature trailers, clips and music from Star Wars.

To make an advance dining reservation for these Star Wars Weekends, you can call (407) 939-5277 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call. You will need to have a credit card to make your reservation.

On hold with Disney now. She says she cannot deny or confirm. All I care about is if this is happening during the week. The above makes it seem like it's weekends only. My ADR was during the week and it was changed as well. I told her that it states that we can call in starting tomorrow and I'm just trying to find out if it is occurring the day of my ADR ( May 21st). She cannot at this time inform me of any details but, did verify that I can call in the morning.
